We started our holiday in Cape Town and then joined The Azamara Pursuit to journey up the coast. So far, so good!

Compeed! Never travel with new shoes without Compeed! They work wonders on healing blisters really quickly and you can still wear your normal shoes without them hurting! Marvelous!
Was going to say the same. I never go on a trip without a pack.

We fell in love with SA from our first visit. Have had 5 holidays there. Two were over New Year. We just found a base in Cape Town, hired a car and travelled all over. Agree re Safari, we went to Umfolozi near Durban but not a patch on the Masi Mara Helen. I am enjoying your trip so much. We have sailed on Azamara as well. Sadly we no longer can travel due to my husbands health, but we have wonderful memories, and your trip brings these back. Enjoy the rest of your holiday. ❤
Thank you for taking time out of your holiday to share it with us. Brought back lovely memories of visiting SA back in 2017, I agree that the food is amazing, best we've ever had. We saw a bunch of Primary aged schoolkids who were waiting for the cable car on Table Mountain who were spontaneously singing and dancing like your choir, they were amazing. Enjoy the rest of your trip, you've cruised past some beautiful places!

I think you’ll find most passengers will be quite casually dressed. Azamara cabins the smallest I’ve ever seen but the ships are lovely and I hope you have an amazing time😊

Hi Helen, how excited I was to read that you are/were in our beautiful city! I live in an old area just at the foot of Table Mountain, we can see the cable station from our sitting room. Yes, the weather has been hot during the day but it is lovely in the evenings. Enjoy your SA travels!

@@golfingmags5 thank you for your comment. We live in a 1940's apartment, so have great views of the mountain, especially in the morning, when the sun light reflects golden on the mountain. Sadly we've had numerous fires on our mountain ranges over the past few weeks - the vegetation is dry and crisp.

I have missed your blogs Helen as I look forward to them every evening. You look very relaxed & I love your dress you are wearing👍 I’m interested in all of it as it takes me away from my daily life so all good😃 Honestly does it really need spelling out that if your Not keeping the pink suit why would you unpick the seam …. DER. I love q.v.c. Diamonique jewellery as the presenters say you cannot tell the difference. I have a few which I’ve had for years and wear them and get compliments too. Enjoy the rest of your trip and if you get a spare moment please blog some more 🥰

I'm so glad you came to our lovely country. Our dun is quite intense so it is s good idea to always wear factor 30 sunscreen and a hat. Glad you like the food!

Hi Helen, I never find the trips that are arranged brilliant, nice but very tiring. Nothing quite like going to sleep with the door ajar to the sound of the sea. I loved the days at sea, much more relaxing and time to catch up with the tiredness. When we arrived at each port there were the dancers and kettle drums playing. Just fabulous. (Caribbean) Glad you are having an amazing time, the pics look fab. Enjoy xx

I thoroughly enjoyed your video. I missed you this past week! Glad you are enjoying yourself. When we went to South Africa on a safari, at first I didn't see any animals then I realised that they are camouflaged! 😂 Once someone pointed the giraffe out then I started to see more animals. I do miss South Africa as I was brought up there. Cape Town is beautiful. I don’t sleep much on planes either. I lived in Durban, Pietermaritzburg and Cape Town.

Love the Oyster Box it’s a fantastic experience with amazing views over the lighthouse. I think SA has the best restaurants and food. Made me feel homesick watching your video.

Looks like your having a great time, food looked lovely . I don’t think you gain much when you go to them talks on future cruises credits etc myself. We are not loyal to any cruise line I think we have done 7 different ones . I personally pick my destination then look who’s doing the best deal. Hope the 🌞 comes out again . Thanks for sharing. Xx

Helen I thoroughly enjoyed that. Never been to SA and at this age no chance of going so far. I'm a bad sleeper too so I would've been awake on that 12 hour flight! Very informative and down to earth. Loved the dancing choir. You look fabulous as always. Looking forward to the next bit. ❤

Wonderful to watch Helen, thank you 😊 My grandparents emigrated to Natal Province, nr Durban in 1950. I've been to 7 different countries in Africa and loved each one. Johannesburg, Nelsbruit were lovely and also Swaziland. Carry on enjoying yourselves ❤❤

So good to see you again! I had forgotten that you were off on your cruise, and was worried about why you hadn’t posted in a while! I did eventually remember about your trip, but still….. I’m glad this cruise is working out better for you. The smaller ship seems like such a better idea. We cruised on a very large ship similar to your Cunard experience, and unfortunately I think that experience ruined the possibility of future cruises, small or otherwise! Loved your photos and hearing about how you and Rob are getting along on this trip! #livingvicariouslythroughhelen🥰
