I love this podcast! So many gems in it. I can relate to not feeling happy. Good job, David Ito Sensei for taking responsibility and keeping the Dojo alive! Even if it wasn't your intention to become a teacher, you did what needed to be done. You can be proud of yourself!
I had no idea the impact traing Aikido. My whole life has changed and is my foindational structure in life. Shenogi Sabaki. Control and Execute. Had that written above my printing press. Control Your Life. So you can Execute your life.
Manny Pacquiao seems to be the exact opposite of Mike Tyson. Pacquiao grew up in poverty and homeless in the Philippines. He had to start fighting, as a pro at 16 years of age, just to earn a few dollars to buy rice. Yet Pacquiao is always smiling, joking, playing pranks, etc. Even when entering the arena or ring for big fights, he is always smiling, happy, waving at his fans, fist bumping his fans, etc, while his opponent is stoned-faced and all serious. After PacMan got knocked out cold by Marquez, he walked out of the arena smiling, laughing, and assuring everyone "I'm ok! I'm fine!" He loves to sing karaoke, loves to play basketball, and just enjoys life. Pacquiao is proof that one can be a warrior inside of the ring, yet be easy going, fun loving, and relaxed outside of it.
