- Hi all
thank you for stopping by the channel.
scrapping motors is something you will see all scrappers do. it's a great way to get a bunch of copper for not too much effort.
big motors that contain large stators can be difficult to remove the copper without cutting off the crown and wasting a little of that copper.
my preferred method is to cut the motor in half using a meat cleaver or an axe.
I had this motor lying around so I thought it would be rude to take it apart and not film it for your viewing pleasure.

The knife is safe

Subbed back buddy
Thank you buddy👍
Are people so poor in Scotland that they are scavenging for bits of copper? By the way, you didn't 'extract' copper from that motor because you didn't dig in the ground for copper ore.
So should I just leave the motor to go into landfill rather than separating the metals and recycling it? I also extracted the copper windings from the steel stator so not sure what you are talking about buddy
@@ScrappingScotland BUDDY, if you still have at least half a brain, you know exactly what I asked. But you decided to give a tangential answer to praise yourself how eco friendly you are. Busted.
What are you on about ,and you do not sound a decent person either ,keep your views to yourself
@@simodo11 Keep my views to myself?? Do you know that on TH-cam FREE SPEECH is still alive? If you don't like people having different opinions, close the comment section or go hide under a rock. Like in North Korea. By the way, a comma is used right after the end of the word, followed by a space, not the other way around. When was the last time you read a book? Like a grammar one?
@zbigniewrichard8291 your views are fine. No problem at all with your comment. We just like to keep things positive on this channel but I appreciate the fact you watched the video and commented. You're entitled to your view buddy
