Oldschool sledder here ..sledding aint over till june ..unload the truck higher up ..spring snow allows some locations to be reached that are simply impossable in deep powder snow ..only EVER reachable in spring ..expand your mountain selection ..BC is big
Sick area back there, that is the beauty of spring riding. Another old school sledder here, a lot of us oil field workers would work pretty much all of Dec to end of march. Then load up our sleds and golf clubs and head to Revy in April or May and Ride & golf. Back in the early 90's we used to get a double room at the Columbia motel for 20 bucks a night in April-May, it was a cheap fun holiday. Sled until mid afternoon then go play 9 holes of golf. Throw some screws in your track like the hill climbers do for those icy conditions, also build a couple ski brakes from old belts helps a bit too. I remember the ass puckering spring riding on the down hills, heart rate would get way up there. LOL. Keep riding and filming, the snow will get better once that ice layer melts in a few days. June 11 was my latest day riding.
"there is in fact still winter to be had, it's not over yet" 14:11 I love that you are still finding snow, keep these spring videos coming :). Wicked riding, pretty gnarly on the way out. Another Great Video Matt!
Great to see you are still living the dream in the west. I was just out your way skiing at Revy a little hard in the morning but the afternoon was good. I have been following you all winter and have enjoyed seeing your adventures. My wife and I came into a lot of new snow this past week it made the skiing outstanding. I hope you found some of that good white stuff too.
Hey Mat. You ever try the old belt around the ski trick? Slap an old drive belt around the tip of each ski. Acts kinda like a front brake. Chain works too but a couple spare belts are much more handy.
Love the late season footage and that zone was amazing. Beautiful downy footage. Would love to hear more about your experience riding a Freeride vs the Expert in the conditions on this day.
Hopefully you’ve made a year end wrap up video 🙌🤞. Always love the look back re-cap of the season . Another awesome year , even with the lack of snow . You never fail at bringing us all great content. Looking forward to some construction vids this summer 👌. Thanks again Matt for all you do and for bringing us along for the ride 🤙
Amazing video!! And on the screen thing for the loss of connection thing my sled did it before and apparently it’s a upstate that the dealer was supposed to do when they gave you the sled and it’s just a update that the dealer can do they just connect the computer to it and update it easy fix. But then after my third ride after it my screen hasn’t worked or turned on for the last few rides
Muskoka Matt came around me Saturday in Ronan Montana. I followed him around flathead lake to my hometown Kalispell, until he made the hwy 93 bypass turn. I hope he enjoyed the drive. It was a beautiful day. Hello Matt.
I seen enduro/rally race riders route two a complete second clutch cable from the bar to the clutch, then sealed the ends and if their clutch cable breaks then can just complete swap to the second one in a race. I dunno if the breaks on sleds are common enough to make that worth while
It's actually surprising to see that you guys up in Revelstoke got much less snow than we got in Sweden!! We have almost 1 meter powder up in northern Swede!! Great video as usual🤩
My first season, learned a lot from you and your crew, I had a fantastic season in Colorado, can’t wait for more, gonna try and get out one more time before it gets to warm, thanks to this video! Cheers
The past few days here in idaho where im at were the best pow spring riding in a new zone ive ever had. Was planning on more but my secondary decided to crap out today so in the shop it goes
Please provide more detail regarding the use of reverse during downhill. Do you initiate reverse while stopped or do you do it while still going down by locking the track/hit reverse button/gently release track and continue downhill coasting and if you need to spin track in reverse you first lock the track and give it a little throttle while still locked and release brake when you can feel clutches are engaged?
Another nice video great perspective and different angles. Really appreciate that to show the steepness and the treacherous terrain thank you fellas I watch with envy.
I have way more snow than that. Im in the Appalachians of N.B. i think mid feb before we got any real snow. but its been steady for the most part. The wk before easter we got 5 ft. Along with 4 days non stop rain. But conditions are still mint as of today. Apr3. oh ya...another 1 1/2 ft comin by fri.
I live in New England. Currently 50 degrees or so, Noreaster dumping over a foot of snow here, 2 feet in the mountains for tomorrow. My grass was getting green again lol
Some of that was sketchy AF. Had me clinching on those downhills. This Jerry wouldn't be at it LOL. Hopefully you have some footage of the slide down the embankment while out with Caleb. SKETCHYYYY SHAT !!!
Nice to find that powder when everything else is rock solid! You guys are lucky to have real long tracks and reverse for those descents! 30 years ago we had 136" x 1.5" tracks lol! Spring was fun except for the toboggan back down but we always rode May long weekend and sometimes first week in June here in the West Kootenay
I have a 2015 summit x 174 and my gauge cluster went out a year after I bought it and there not cheap . So yeah I understand riding without any important info fuel , temp , rpms , oh yeah No hand warmers it sucks
Hey Matt, Question: I used to have a ski doo now a polaris and I just snow checked a summit x turbo after riding a buddies and watching your content it seems like the ski doo pulls the hardest and my question is; was that the right choice? Im hearing that your ski doo here is very problematic along with dallas'. Thoughts?
Yea? How long will it hold? That storm came through Washington and dropped some. But warm temps all week are going to ruin it. Was only able to get in 2 days of pow.
I want to see how you recovered your sled from the trees
Heli fishing for invasive snow machines

Sounds like a pretty great time! I wish construction could wait that long. I’d love some June riding

Went riding today and you could hear the water running under the snow in some places. Pretty cool spring riding!
I thought there would be footage of the recovery! It looked like a Gnarly wreck!
Maybe I’ll see you at the snowmobile show this fall in Toronto. Would be awesome to meet the Gerry’s.
Man i can’t believe how much snow has melted when a few weeks ago it was deep as hell
I can’t believe how much melted in the 10 days I was gone
Wish I could ride like you. Have enjoyed the content and look forward to next season!

so beautiful in the spring, top bad it comes with no snow on downhill steeps haha
even we in finland have more snow. come ride here we still have like 50cm left

I still got few more months of snowmobiling👍🏻
We just got like 0,5 to 1 m of pow here in sweden. Literally the best condition now in the whole winter
It's actually surprising to see that you guys up in Revelstoke got much less snow than we got in Sweden!! We have almost 1 meter powder up in northern Swede!! Great video as usual🤩
How much stuff did you have to fix on the freeride 146 from that exploration off the trail and over some logs/rocks?
Great content as always Matt.
I think we got our last rideable snow in MN this last week. 8-12 inches was enough to get the vintage sleds out for the first time.
Hasn't even started yet for me but it's over for me

It’s looked pretty epic down there the last few days. Always sucks when a breakdown ruins your trip
Time to bust out the ditch banger for a few last rides 😆

Sled season closes when resorts close I guess 🤔🤔
nice riding style in the amazing light
Hell ya Matt, I rode cooke city the 30th and it was deeeeeep still some storms rolling in man hope you guys get another chance to go out!

That much more rewarding! That’s one of the reasons I rode the 154 today instead of the 146 haha although the shorter lug of the 146 might work better
Awesome ride. That's some steep stuff. Ya think my 1995 Phazer 2 will make it up there??
here in sweden its crazy much snow
Rode in Mccloud CA yesterday. Got OK past 6000 feet
Yo! Trinity just below you here. Still good at 6k here!
Looks like a food day to melt down a doo.
Track is digging in not that iced over
It's crazy you just jumped over a small creek didn't even skip a beat. 21:46 Keep up the awesome videos.
Is it time to break out the 2 Stroke Three Wheelers……brrrrap
Just had my 23' in the ship fot the exact same thing. All codes cleared, modules updated to sync with the sled and restarted. Fixed the issue 🤷🏼♂️
i saw some of your guys in Alberta at a show i bought some shirts and took some air fresheners
Jealous I missed this day…. Spent a lot of time looking at this zone on the google 🤘🏻🤘🏻👌🏻
Where are the old belts over the skis? Ski brakes for spring?
Just keep running it. Your going to have to replace everything anyway.
Gorgeous scenery!
Yes it is
Lovely video man! :)
Btw, you guys should drive in Riksgränsen @ Sweden :D
Maybe next season?
Really enjoyed the video off the front BWB. Sweet. Thanks for sharing.
