I love the theme. Since the electricity consumption increases during the game, I was wondering whether there are any card in the game who could be considered as "degrowth" (like replacing big cars by smaller cars or bikes, living in smaller houses... To give some basic examples).
Degrowth is certainly a thing all developed countries will have to do to be carbon neutral so that would be interesting to see that in the game.

Yes, there's a "Degrowth Movement" card and several others that reduce electricity demand.

Looks really interesting! I've been thinking that engine builders like Terraforming Mars would potentially work well in a game about avoiding the climate crisis, and it' so exciting to see that concept come to life. The Race for the Galaxy influence seems like it will streamline a lot of the fiddly bits and the card layering with tags stacking mechanic looks like it has a ton of possibility. As a Board Game lover who has a background in Environmental Engineering and Climate Resiliency, I am excited to get a chance to try it out myself!

Please distribute this game to South Africa as soon as possible.
I already own just about every iteration of Pandemic - AND I MUST HAVE THIS TOO!

I really like the theme & I expect good things from a Matt Leacock game. I look forward to theme nights with Daybreak & Endangered.

What is the board game made of?

Paper and FSC Certified paper and cardboard. The bits show in this video are all prototype components.

Like a propaganda rip off of terraforming mars. 1337 Cash grab

Yeah, there are some similar mechanics (all board games borrow), but how is terraforming mars not propaganda? -- private corporations competing for land grabs on a new planet after (probably the same) corporations wrecked earth's climate. Elon Musk fantasy land! I'd much rather play Daybreak.

Apparently, they're going with the premise that the theory of human-caused climate cycles is legit? I guess that's why they made the box look Soviet... What a shame we don't see games about problems that actually exist, i.e. potable water. (Who wants to bet some cash that the game was produced in China?)
