since I’ve started perceiving the world in a more optimistic manner, I’ve felt more content with my life and have actually started achieving so much more!
Imagine you are riding a bike in a forest, you can focus on not hitting the trees or just focus on the path. Considering the consequences can be great, but as long as it doesn't stress you out
Interesting viewpoint but I would say this: The past and future don’t exist, focus optimistically on the present. (I recommend a book called ‘the power of now’)
@@harryhopeyt well I mean it makes sense it doesn’t exist but the future is still important as well as long term planning but I would say to know that you can only take step by step in the present makes sense
@@adorablechrysalis7386 Yes completely agree! But the trick is that you have to plan in the present. Everything you do is in the present, the future doesn't exist. It's a weird concept I know, but I really recommend the read! :)
@@harryhopeyt I heard the book before. Maybe think about the future but do everything in the present and the focus is on the future but actions are in the present? Idk
@@adorablechrysalis7386 yes that's it! It's not about ignoring the future, but recognising that it doesn't actually exist. Everything that happens is in the present. People can think about the future all day and never actually get anywhere, because they haven't taken any action in the present!
Yes could be very true! But also people tend to be naturally pessimistic. People also have good experiences but the majority of the population are pessimists.

Pessimism isn’t ‘considering consequences’ it’s obsessing over them. Optimists can and do still ‘consider consequences’.

I would say this:
Be pessimistic about people
Be realistic about the past
Be optimistic about the future

Everybody like this vid so more ppl can see this
Good idea 👍
the real question is why do people feel pessimistic, because they had bad and negative experiences in life
