Your video was very helpful -- I appreciate the no-nonsense approach with no side comments to divert from your instructive message. Now that I feel empowered, I am going to try the JF 6N (light natural brown) and see how it goes.

When it fades does it have a lot of red undertones?

I absolutely slather my face, neck, ears, chest with aquaphor. It helps so much I am not very coordinated.

Thank you, I just bought this brand and I’m so excited to try it! I’m hoping it doesn’t fade too easily. You look gorgeous with black hair by the way! ❤

Do you shampoo too or just use the conditioner?

Hello there! 😁It’s not good to shampoo after dying hair with any kind of color or brand unless you get your hair done at a salon and they want to wash your hair after dying it for some reason. You’ll want to wait 2 days before washing your hair after dying it. I highly suggest washing the color out in the shower with cool water, it doesn’t have to be freezing cold. After rinsing the dye out you can then use the conditioner and keep it in the hair for atleast 3-5 minutes. It’s okay to keep it in up to 10 minutes even. When rinsing the dye out the water doesn’t have to be perfectly clear as long as you can see through the water in your hand it should be rinsed enough! You also want to make sure to rinse the conditioner off in cool water as well and then you’re all done and you can style your hair anyway you like after! I like to wait till the next day to style so my hair has a night break. 😄 I always recommend to continue washing hair with cool water whenever you wash your hair so the color doesn’t fade as quickly. Hot water will make the hair color fade faster. I hope this helps you! If you need to know anything else just let me know! I also want to warn you that black hair dye is one of the hardest colors to lighten. If you don’t want black hair for a long time I highly suggest using a semi-permanent dye so it comes out easier. I’ve dyed my hair permanent black since I was 13 and no matter what I do I can’t get it out and I’ve fried my hair a few times trying. 😂 I’ve even went to salons and they deny trying to lighten it. I’m 27 now so it’s been years of permanent black dye buildup so I’m sure you’d be okay if you want to dye it black. It’s a really fun color and the best part it looks amazing no matter what you wear and looks good with any color makeup. I apologize for such a long comment!
