I just got into Minecraft modding a few months ago and have been trying to work my way through HBM, with a lot of struggling and headaches. Don’t get me wrong I love the challenge of having to figure out problems and the reward of doing so, but the mod isn’t exactly intuitive on a lot of levels. Tip: one generator that was not covered in this video that is truly early game and is one of the best is the solar tower boiler, given an infinite water supply it runs automatically for all day and produces a very viable amount of power for your early machines to work, and it's cheap to create so you can make several of those generators and you will be safe for all the early game in terms of energy. Fun fact: the industrial ge erator was nerfed, before it was smaller, less complicated and produced more energy, given RTG pellets, it could run constantly and without the need of manteniance, and it produced insane amounts of energy if we are going by early game, so it got nerfed. I liked this video, my top 3 early game generators would be: #1 Solar tower boiler (As long as it's daytime, you ain't running out of power early game, and with energy storage blocks, power may last night aswell, cheap to make, only problematic thing is steam turbine but is no big deal either) #2 industrial generator (now it was nerfed, and it's a bit of mid-game, but definitely will end replacing your combustion generator once you make it, but better have big space for it, it's a big generator) #3 combustion generator (simple, viable for small machines in early game, can be used along the solar boiler as backup, emergency generator at night).
Ah good to meet another OG of this mod , I actually remeber using the old industrial generator in my first military base that I made for this mod , I used it to power the radar 😂 Also the reason why I didn't include the solar tower boiler was cause it doesn't essentially produce power but steam , and most of these machines produce power directly except for the boiler+ industrial steam turbine. Also you've great top 3 choices my dude , I've a new found respect for ZPE Potential Generator tho , produces decent amount of power. I appreciate you taking the time to write such a detailed comment sharing such knowledge my dude.

According to me getting power fast can be achieved by the combustion generator , solar tower boiler and also ZPE potential generator. The combustion engine will need coal or any other combustible fuel and water... Solar Tower Boiler will need water and turbine , but will produce more energy... The ZPE potential generator is a bit expensive to craft but it will literally give you free energy So maybe you can go for a combo of these, also thanks for the good wishes my man. Cheers 🎉💥 😁
Tips for the industrial generator: There are 3 slots for electromagnetic... things... right below the temperature gauge that boost the output of the industrial generator. Polonium radioisotopes pellets can drive the generator all by itself! Sure its rather expensive for an RTG but... The slot on the top left of the generator is for solid fuel. If you have a blaze farm or automatic wood for charcoal. Alternatively if you are a weirdo who uses tech AND magic mods at once blood magic's lava crystal is frighteningly effective Using fluid identifiers you can change the fuel the generator runs on. Not all fuels work but I know from experience diesel and NITAN fuel work.

In the latest version of the mod additional ports are provided in the bottom of generator to connect all the fluid ducts. So I recommend getting it from github

If you get the latest version of the mod it now has water pumps which can do that for you. There's also infinite water barrels that can be crafted in survival and you can place them in the tanks input slot and they will fill it up

is it just me or is the Ambience Radiation Generator no longer craftable in HBM Reloaded? Also thank you so much for these HBM tech mod tutorials, I know there's a wiki but it doesn't have like over half the info you mention on your videos
Well NTM reloaded does have many missing recipes and this is like the 4th time I am hearing about the ambience generator issue. I highly recommend trying out NTM Extended version as it fixes many of the issues that ntm reloaded has and it also adds alot of stuff from 1.7.10 version of the mod
Hey Savage! I was trying to craft the Ambience Radiation Generator but I can't seem to find a crafting recipe for it.. it has a template in the template folder but even JEI has no recipe.. Any ideas?
JEI ... that means you're trying this in 1.12.2 ntm so there is a chance that there might be missing recipes. So lemme know which version you are playing on and I'll check it out Also if template exists for it then doesn't it show all the items needed to craft it in the assembly machine ??
Yeah it can be done very easily , just use an HE to RF convertor and you can connect flux ducts to that convertor to use the RF in your machines (1 HE = 4 RF btw)
Its a straightforward recipe man you'll need to mine rare earth metal using silk touch and then process it in a centrifuge to get desh blend. Processing the desh blend in chem plant with mercury and light oil will give you desh. Highly recommend you install NEI mod to see these recipes
I don't remember the recipe man but I highly recommend installing NEI mod as it will allow you to see all the recipe and uses for materials and machines. Using NEI is a must when playing modded mc and if you are on 1.12.2 use JEI , it works in the same way as NEI
I suggest just craft an infinite water barrel instead of crafting the universal fluid tank cause as the name suggests it will give you infinite amount of water. You can place that in a large fluid tank which has water designator so it can input and output water

I've already done that man , just place the crucible inside the Tungsten Crate and focus a DFC emitter beam on the crate. That will heat up the crate and charge the crucible
Nope HBMs is more than enough for all the energy you'll be producing. Plus there are even HE to RF convertors that you can use incase some other mod needs them

@@VorteX_SH you need energy for everything you do in this mod. For example you will craft multiple items using assembly machines and chemical plants and you'll need energy to run both of them. You need to fire a missile , you need energy to do that , launch a satellite via rocket you need energy for that as well.

Well for launching missiles , crafting all of the stuff this mod has to offer , powering a particle accelerator and basically every other power consuming machine. The way the progress tree moves up is by crafting more and more rare materials like schrabidium and euphemium
Well HE is kinda like EU cause 1 HE = 4 RF also HBM does have HE to RF convertors so using RF based machines shouldn't be a problem man. A more problematic point than power is fluids as HBM fluids can't be used in other mods and vice versa in 1.7.10 version of the mod. That however is not the case with 1.12.2 version of the mod
There's an item in the mod called Infinite water tank and Heavy infinite water tank which you can use to keep on generating water. In the Alcater edition which is available for 1.12.2 only there are even more tiers above the heavy infinite water tank. Now if you're playing on 1.7.10 version of the mod then these tanks are the only way of getting water but if you're in 1.12.2 then you can use pumps and water from other mods as well
It can be processing the oil that you pump out using Pumpjack. Also I recommend installing Not Enough Items mod , it will help you out with recipes like these !!

Why my industrial generator explode when i add 4 plutonium in 1.12.2
i Play hbms in 1.12.2 but i cant extract the energy out of the industrial generator with red copper wires
Try using NTM Extended, it is more up-to-date and maybe the issue won't be there in that versionn

JEI ... that means you're trying this in 1.12.2 ntm so there is a chance that there might be missing recipes. So lemme know which version you are playing on and I'll check it out

I know I'm pretty late, but is there any way to transfer the energy these machines produce to "RF" energy?
Yeah it can be done very easily , just use an HE to RF convertor and you can connect flux ducts to that convertor to use the RF in your machines
(1 HE = 4 RF btw)

Its a straightforward recipe man you'll need to mine rare earth metal using silk touch and then process it in a centrifuge to get desh blend. Processing the desh blend in chem plant with mercury and light oil will give you desh.

How do I craft the combustion generator?
I don't remember the recipe man but I highly recommend installing NEI mod as it will allow you to see all the recipe and uses for materials and machines. Using NEI is a must when playing modded mc
and if you are on 1.12.2 use JEI , it works in the same way as NEI

so i made the universal fluid tank, but its empty and idk how to fill it up with water :c can someone tell me how to do it
I suggest just craft an infinite water barrel instead of crafting the universal fluid tank cause as the name suggests it will give you infinite amount of water. You can place that in a large fluid tank which has water designator so it can input and output water

Idea:How to charge the crucible
I've already done that man , just place the crucible inside the Tungsten Crate and focus a DFC emitter beam on the crate. That will heat up the crate and charge the crucible

Nope HBMs is more than enough for all the energy you'll be producing. Plus there are even HE to RF convertors that you can use incase some other mod needs them

@@VorteX_SH you need energy for everything you do in this mod. For example you will craft multiple items using assembly machines and chemical plants and you'll need energy to run both of them.
You need to fire a missile , you need energy to do that , launch a satellite via rocket you need energy for that as well.

what can i use the energy for?
Well for launching missiles , crafting all of the stuff this mod has to offer , powering a particle accelerator and basically every other power consuming machine.
The way the progress tree moves up is by crafting more and more rare materials like schrabidium and euphemium

I wish HBM used RF like 99% of mods
Well HE is kinda like EU cause 1 HE = 4 RF
also HBM does have HE to RF convertors so using RF based machines shouldn't be a problem man. A more problematic point than power is fluids as HBM fluids can't be used in other mods and vice versa in 1.7.10 version of the mod. That however is not the case with 1.12.2 version of the mod

There's an item in the mod called Infinite water tank and Heavy infinite water tank which you can use to keep on generating water. In the Alcater edition which is available for 1.12.2 only there are even more tiers above the heavy infinite water tank.
Now if you're playing on 1.7.10 version of the mod then these tanks are the only way of getting water but if you're in 1.12.2 then you can use pumps and water from other mods as well

It can be processing the oil that you pump out using Pumpjack. Also I recommend installing Not Enough Items mod , it will help you out with recipes like these !!
