For the uninitiated. Its all Indian Mythology which every Indian knows from his childhood.
The scene where that elephant is pushed is actually from the MAHABHARATA battle scene where Dhronocharya (The Master) hears news about the death of his son, Aswathaamaa (Amitabh) but actually it was the death of that elephant whose name was also Aswathaama. This trick was played by the Eldest brother of PANDAVAS (5 Brother) who was renowned for only speaking truth and being righteous on the advice of KRISHNA, who is the 8th AVATAR of LORD MAHA VISHNU. Hearing the false news about his son's death, Dhronacharya stops his war and throws away his weapons immediately and goes into meditation on the field of war at KURUKSHETRA. While in meditation, he is killed by decapitation.
PS: LORD MAHA VISHNU is the supreme lord in Hindu mythology. His VISHNU avatar in this Universe has had 8 incarnations. KALKI is going to be his 10th and last AVATAR at the end of this world in this yuga called KALIYUGA.
PSS: Ashwathaamaa is an immortal, he sinned during MAHABHARATA by killing a girl child before birth in its mother womb. So he has to wait till the 9th incarnation of lord VISHNU to get MOKSHA. Moksha means to be free from the cycle of life and death and submerge into the ONE, MAHA VISHNU.
PSSS: LORD VISHNU and LORD MAHA VISHNU are different but same, MAHA VISHNU is the supreme lord of all the multi universe, Lord Vishnu is his form in this Universe.
PSSSS: Out of 10 Avatars of Lord VISHNU, his 8th Avatar is considered as the Avatar of Lore MAHA VISHNU himself.

Each avatar of lord is to guide humankind and save humanity. Go through the avatars shown in there and you would know. This movie is about a war coming. The last age of the 4 ages (of a cycle) will complete once the war ends. This is like doomsday only for us hindus its a small age within a larger cycle. Birth rebirth and the kaalchakra moves on. But this will be the most signifcant of all wars of all 4 ages. It will take 7 immortals and the lord himself as Kalki to take down Kali (not to be mistaken for maa Kaali)...the demon.

It is in Telugu I think but why it seems similar to sanskrit and I can understand most of it,does anyone know the reason, I have a guess I think is that it is because of scriptures that were made before there was any writing, so same in two languages ,but who knows 🤷♂️
