Ivan Mazeppa Ok, i make it in two posts. Franzl plays a bavarian while Peter plays an american and they ask what some words and sayings mean translated in their languages. Just to clear up the confusing sounding translation: How do you call a cow? We call it cow, well and what do you call a pig? We call it pig, and a meadow, what's that called? Hoho that is a prairy. a cow gives milk, and from that you make cheese, and with the cheese we have a drink, no, we (in Bavaria) have a Maß (one litre of beer) And a song? That is a song. Here you can see the difference. 2x Only jodeling is learned in texas just like it is in the bavarian Oberammergau (a city in southern Bavaria)
A greenhorn is - a stupid bloke, and a girl is what? -Oh a sweetheart, a girl. And a woman - is a Ratschn (a word for women who talk all the time) - and your son - gets slapped often. And i curse "hell and devil", asking myself, do you know this? No, we say, malefiz, Himmelzwirn (idk how to translate these and i don't even know what they mean. Himmel is heaven and Zwirn is something like yarn rope) and such things. And a stranger is - i know! A stranger, but we call him a Prussian. 2x the Oberammergau phrase again And jodeling... You're welcome You're welcome
