    How can u say that the load reflection coefficient magnitude and the source reflection coefficient magnitude are same?They didn't mention in the question about the source side impedence.

      the magnitude is the same because you cant change the real part of the impedance. You wouldnt add more resistance to a transmission line. You can only change the imaginary with inductance or capacitance

    I was solving some of the smith charts probelms.I noticed that sometimes when moving along the transmission lines in smith charts,the physical generator is not considered and the line is still moved towards the generator even though it looks like a load is connected at the other end.
    Can you explain why is this done

    To find voltage minimum/maximum, do we have to calculate from load impedence of Input Impedence?

      See voltage minimum or maximum can be calculated from load or input . When you calculate Vmin from the load then you will have to move towards the generator when you calculate Vmin from the input then you will have to move towards the load and you can see those direction in smith chart

    Sir, for calculating vswr after drawing the vswr circle why should we take the point on real axis left side of the centre, as the circle also intersects the real axis on the right side of the centre also...

      You can take from left side but for that you will have streach line from left to scale at bottom of VSWR scale

    Please Can you tell me all of the parameters of the transmission Line that Can be calculated using Smith chart.
    like is it possible to calculate zo from zl or zin on the Smith chart ?

      Zo cannot be calculated by smithchart

      @@EngineeringFunda so WE CAN only calculate Zin,Zl,Vswr, reflection coeff, max and min distance,admitance

      Zo depends on R L G C which are different for coaxial and single wire. Hence it can't be found via chart as it doesn't depends on them.

    Hello sir, how to decide to project a line to bottom of chart from VSWR circle , I mean that at right side also VSWR circle touches center line then I can get 2nd VSWR also on right side I

      From load you should go towards generator to find input impedance

      Input signal is towards load, reflected signal from load is towards generator

      Convert that in terms of lambda.
