It's interesting to see the actual true massiveness of a great white, since igp immediately goes into assuming it's a megalodon. When in reality that is the size of a great white.
Yeah like, the biggest great whites can go up to 6-7 meters, and most people don't realize how freaking huge 6-7 meters really is. I mesured it in my house to have an idea, I was shocked how huge this is. And it would seems even worse in the water since it basically zoom everything.

I've never seen a more realistic looking underwater simulation! This is a damn near perfect game as far as realism. The Makos are particularly fearsome, and the White sharks look amazing. That Kraken, tho...I don't know how in the hell they made it look so real in the way that it moved! These game developers are not fucking around. I am truly impressed. The game is a real work of art. I hoist a beer to the developers. They are the real deal.
If a mind-controlling Kraken was using them as bodyguards IRL then the area probably would be. At the least, it would discourage exploration because of the potential danger
Fun fact: the great white shark grows up to 18 - 20 feet (about 6 meters, give or take.) The megalodon grew to about 40 feet (about 10-ish meters.) If those big ones had been to-scale megs, IGP would have needed to restart a few times...and possibly changed his pants.

Something that would be cool, if the sharks turned to the blood whenever something else was seriously injured/killed. Even if it were just for a split second, it'd be a cool attention to detail and it would show some inner conflict between the kraken and the shark's instincts; though i may be giving the shark to much credit in that regard. Also i was thinking that it'd be cool to see peaceful merpeople out and about, but then i realized that they'd be to reclusive for that; still be cool though.

If you think that Great White is massive, the Megalodon is estimated to be 70 ft long, teeth the size of your hand, and a jaw the size of a grown man, to put it simply, the Meg could use the Kraken as a chew toy, it is known to have one of the most powerful bite force of any ocean predator to have ever exist, it's such a large predator that the only reason that this thing will attack you is if you literally provoke the beautiful predator, Sharks are truly beautiful and awesome creatures that are feared for no reason, media ruins what Sharks are actually like #sharks4life
There’s a lot of horror game concepts that I would love to see, but the one I really hope to see is a game that utilizes grand, huge, Megalophobia like game that centralizes around a loveceaftean aesthetic that is eerie somewhat like the backrooms mixed with idk maybe a Cthulhu like monster? I just love the idea of something huge looking for you just lurking around…
I recommend you start over and get the shotgun and fully upgrade it asap. Hellfire is only useful for things that can be one shot like snakes and lionfish imo. The pistol is crap don't bother with it. Get the grenades. The sniper is Powerful get it after the shotty and use it for anything just a bit farther than you can hit with the harpoon/or any shark coming to bite you besides the great white.

It's definitely the FOV, they seem much bigger than they are in this game. Also, fun fact: some Megs have been documented to be (mean) around 10m in length, which is only 2X the size of a (mean) length of a great white. Those big ones are larger than typical that we see portrayed in movies and in diagrams. They were definitely big but they could also be pretty small relatively.
I'd just like to point out, Whales are mammals, and therefore are warm-blooded. Suzy Q said the Kraken can only control cold-blooded creatures, so no need to worry about whales getting aggressive in this game.
You're talking about the Sirens? The sirens literally cannot die unless they are shot in the head, I learned this later on, not sure I left my realization in the video haha

It seemed like things took little to no damage after a certain distance with the shotgun, but at least one merfolk got really bloodied when you shot it close up with the shotgun. That made me assume that if they could be injured that way they could be killed that way.
I would like to point out that that’s about what a great white would look like face to face, it’s not like it’s a huge shark by science standards that’s just an actual shark 🦈
Like I said on one of Drae’s videos, it’d be cool if that’s not the kraken when you get to the end. Maybe just a big octopus or even a baby kraken and you get to then end and there is just a massive kraken.
It was IGP who influenced me to buy Subnautica 1 and 2 after watching him play the game for months. Never thought that watching and actually playing the game were both totally different and amazing experience. Also bought Killer Shark, Death in the Water 1 and 2 , all because of IGP fun casual and very atmospheric games, also helps a lot in mimizing your thalassophobia.

I really like that the sharks actually have a reason that their aggressive instead of them just being sharks which is so refreshing.

The average Great weight specimen is on average about this large 19.1 feet and they weigh up to on average 2,000 kg/4,410 lb

for the shotgun, you were taking a lot of shots to early and they were out of range, underwater the shotgun needs to be pointblank in order to hit
