    we had one when i was growing up except it was 2011 and tomato red. the interior is exactly the same. i remember threading my arm through that backseat door handle when i was excited that we were almost to our vacation cabin after a 9-hour drive. those were the days.

    I did a quick search and the nav on that model is updated via a DVD. The discs are all over ebay for about 9-10 bucks. At the time, that was still state of the art, nowadays there would be an Internet download, either to an SD card (which the car doesn't have), or maybe through an app on your phone with Bluetooth tethering.

      Yes, I did happen to see an extra slot under the CD player.

    To be honest, I like the older Toyota cars because they used to look like Lexus cars, especially the interior. They were more luxurious. The newer Toyota cars, however, have more modern styling. I prefer the earlier models.

    I just bought a 2011 Toyota camry for 8100.00 with 44,000 miles on it.

    How long is your commute to work? I was wondering to gauge how many miles you will/are putting on it.
    Very nice car, it looks like you found a winner! I have to say, I much prefer the dark wood in this vs the light wood in the 07. That CD player thing with the screen is cool; I remember being in a Dodge Grand Caravan that did the same thing. The nav is one major turnoff for me with a car, though, so I'd much prefer the standard radio. I suppose the map can come in helpful, though.
    Do you happen to notice a slight "initial quality" difference between this and the 07, being that we're looking at Japan made vs USA made? I wondered if maybe the quality went down a tiny bit with the change. I "test drove" a 2005 Lexus ES330 back in January (I didn't buy it for a host of other reasons, and a few issues it had that I discovered), but MAN, that thing was SMOOTH. That was easily the smoothest car I've ever driven, and probably the smoothest riding I've ever ridden in. I'd buy another one if I got the chance, I loved everything about that car.
    Side note, what is that black thing between the driver's seat and the centre console at 16:50?

      How long his commute to work is, is none of your business.

      My commute is my commute. And that black stick is when you get out of hand.

      LOL. For a second, I thought it was the handle for a toilet plunger. Either way, I'm sure you're happy to be back in a loaded Camry. I like American cars myself, but technically, this car is American, since it was built in KY.

    • @jaykay18
      @jaykay18 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@isaac24 That doesn't make it American.

    • @isaac24
      @isaac24 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Okay, then what does? My car technically isn't American, since it was built in Ontario, but a Honda Accord from the same time period technically is, because it was built in Ohio.

    I love the all auto feature, like you said there’s absolutely no reason it’s not standard In all cars, or at least an option
