  • Welcoming the stranger is a core principle of Judaism and an ideal upon which America was founded. Both emphasize the need for fair and equal treatment of those who seek asylum and refuge from war, oppression, and inhumane circumstances. How can we better understand the experiences of individuals who are forcibly displaced from their homeland? What is our role as Jews and Americans in advocating for humane and just resettlement policies/procedures? What is happening locally and how can we be involved?
