its half cream half milk. they sell it in stores here in the states. u got your milk, coffee creamers, half and half, whipping cream, and heavy whipping cream.
actually, if you all watched "chef laura's country fried steak", she did use garlic and onion powder, her all-time favourite. but those weren't featured here. i really wished she'd win too, but chef jet's one would have appealed more to me too if i were the family.
i think jet's recipe definitely deserved the victory the 100 calorie difference isn't much so i would definitely choose jet's flavourful more elaborate dish over laura's

I think it's funny people are saying "it's more flavorful" or "it's not as flavorful" as if they ate those EXACT steaks...lol. Maybe when you make it, it's different. I know that when I put just salt/pepper on beef (steaks, burgers, kabobs, etc.) people enjoy them more b/c they say they can taste the flavor of the beef. However, I'm a garlic salt & seasoning salt kind of gal. :)

He seems more of an experienced cook plus his dish looked much more flavorful. Her dish on the other hand felt like it just had salt pepper and flour.
