I love it, just snow plowing. No music added, no slow motion edits...and all that annoying crap people try and put in their videos these days. Great video!
People should be prepared to move your car out of the parking lot when plowing it's just a problem of keeping the lot clear of all snow and makes the pile of snow easier for space for cars to park. The plow driver will appreciate it.
I had ba 96 4 door s10 blazer with a 6.5 meyer plow before this and that thing was a tank! Only issue I had was low clearance under the plow frame because the torsion bars just didnt hold up over the 10 or so years.
Chris Jones gotta stay away from them dealers when you can. I'm assuming that's a 7.5ft. very hard to find used but I give you props for a great half ton setup. no need for extra cab or long bed to push snow. but at 5800 just for plow setup which I assume includes wiring, push plates, etc, god damn I hope you take advantage of whatever the warranty is. I just grabbed a 8.5 ft fisher ez v for 1,000 flat. ended up needing a motor and had to clean one solenoid so I'm in it less than 1250. just gotta be patient. I run that on my 03 f350 but I have a GMC 1500 that I'd love to have setup with a 7.5 v
Plowing always takes it toll. Take your time, know the area and wash the thing after every storm. It will last longer. Truck was going to need the transmission gone through never gave me problems other then a delayed shift from time to time. Over 118000 miles all original.
Chris Jones also be easier on the tranny if you ran it in vee or windrowed once in awhile hahaha. scooping an entire lot will def put more stress on any truck. i mean obviously plowing 2" ain't gonna hurt anything but I don't think he's plowing successfully like this over 4-6"
I have pretty much the same truck. what did they plow cost you, and do you think it's worth for just for your own driveway? I'm not looking to get into the business.

Nice job! Been plowing for 36 years and that is the way I plow lots with a straight blade. Would love a V blade for my 2500 Ram.
Some good tips here man thanks! On my first plow adventure tonight!

Looking to get my self a 3/4 ton truck. Getting into the lawn care and snow plowin business.
Kyle Lacoste how's that going for you? I'm looking to do the same soon with my half ton.
Good thing that truck is out of warranty. Kinda heavy plow for a 1500. good luck.
The V plow was only about 50lb more then the straight blade. Trucks all original with 117000 miles always used as a work truck.
Its half tone v blade so its ok on this truck i have 2018 chevy with same v plow no problem with warrenty
Im not sure what the wight capacity for a plow should be for ht e Silverado 1500. your set up looks just fine to me and its getting the job done.
Just go to the meyers site and they will list the options. It was only about 50lb more then a straight blade.
i seen the same truck down by New york city yesterday driving on 87
Was probably me!
Keep up the good snow plowing
Thank you!
i'm thinking of a yard truck but have no idea of what truck to get my dad says a s-10 something small to plow the driveway what do you think Chris

i use a s10 and it pushed as much as the big boys did no problems.
Do you always plow without a yellow light on the roof
What size engine?
4.8l
Your welcome and how much did your plow cost

good job bud
Thank you
How hard is that on your truck? Have you had any problems such as a transmission?

nice man. I have a gold 02 Silverado 1500 4x4 single cab with a long bed. it looks like your truck except mine is a long bed
Hi Chris. Nice video. I noticed you don't use plow shoes. Does the plow not have them or do you choose not to use them?
Nice job bud

That looks like NY stickers bro. Where abouts are ya located. ?
love this
Never seen a V blade on a half ton before. Your poor frame
Plow is within the front axle rating of the truck.
Too bad that arse parked his car right in the way
