Wow the pacific was a real surprise! Especially the Far East stuff for commonwealth. Those army sets are a great idea! We’d love to see commandos and Sherman DD’s back as well! Really looking forward to this year!
I really, really, really hope that "here to stay" for Early War, Midwar, and the Pacific means that it will be kept in the warehouses and available to order for retailers. Because I can sell all of those items, but my players aren't going to buy it all at once, they aren't going to want to buy just when there are big pushes, and if I can actually order it when they are ready to buy it then I will sell multiple times more than I ever will with the current system of push it and done, push it and done. I hope that is accomplished with BF acting as the distributor having it in their warehouses to be ordered rather than as some sort of $10k kickstarter that equates to "buy an unwieldy expensive batch of product and then wonder how to restock the core codes". I like your company, I like your product, I've been buying and selling it for 14 years...but the distribution trends we've seen in the last couple of years have really had me concerned and questioning where that 14 year relationship is going in the future. You have a lot of products that could be evergreen, but you have to be willing to believe in them enough to keep them in your own warehouses and ready to order. I don't mean to sound negative, I have always only wanted to sell more of your product to my customers, to put more of your product in my own collection, and for the opportunity to support the game with tournaments and events that players will enjoy enough to be willing to travel to attend them.
I’m hoping that “Late War Leviathans” and “Clash of Steel” will act as precursors to a full-on release for a “Checkpoint Charlie” scenario (1950s-1960s WWIII)!
I love hearing about hard plastic infantry for team yankee. I know it's just us and soviet but I'll look forward to when british hard plastic infantry comes out
I Hope that Check Point Charlie is still in the works. As you have done hypothetical already are you going to allow the US to use what they had in early war (M1, and M2 combat cars/light tanks, along with the M2 medium tank), also please do not forget the US Army in the pacific as they were the majority of the troops there. The USMC may get the all the "press" today, but there were something like 26 army divisions with more on the way and the USMC was at it largest only 6 divisions.
Woohoo, what a great start to the new year. British 14th Army finally get some love! Those old army boxsets are great, shame it doesn't include the old metal infantry but hey, most of us have plenty of them spare anyway ;)
My uncle was on Guadalcanal and my father in the Philippines (well, okay, that would be late war). So, glad to see at long last the Pacific entering the fray. And even if 2025, really looking forward to Early War in France.
Really pleased that BF is doing well and I hope the new projects will prove popular. I'm not that fussed on the "what-if" stuff but I'm pleased The Pacific is coming this year - although I would have preferred Early War myself! I hope Barbarossa gets the full treatment in 2025 too - by then I might have actually painted all my stash of FoW models!
Lots to be excited for in the coming year. Pacific theater! Looking forward to painting up some US Marines and Imperial Japanese troops. The late war leviathans looks really cool and I’m definitely getting some of everything. Plastic infantry for the US in Team Yankee will be great. Thanks so much for the update and happy holidays Battlefront!
I really hope that there is more Team Yankee content on the horizon. As happy as I am for the hard plastics and new starter boxes, I really hope we get a lot more. I get that FoW takes priority but I was hoping for more updates regarding Team Yankee
In line with the D-day 80th anniversary army deals, can you make sure other D-day items are back in stock im think DD shermans, pill boxes and bunkers. Tanks very much.
Real excited about so much goodness - perhaps your best end of year video to date. One thing if I may. I might be too late, but I'll chuck this out anyway. Most of the guys I play FoW with took one lQQk at your treatment of the U.S. Navy in your premier of FoW The Pacific a few years ago and we all said nope, hard no. Dead duck. Keeping my fingers crossed for a better go round this time. Cheers!
A lot of great news… looking forward to the new stuff… Has there been delays in World of Tanks products, I have had troubles finding the newest waves? Happy Holidays
Really excited for Clash of Steel. Hoping I’m not the only one! I know the importance of infantry and CAS on a battlefield but tanks are where it’s at!
I don’t use the system as it doesn’t work for us but I hope if you are doing the early war “properly” as you state, you include all the conflicts at the time including the important Japanese, Chinese conflict and early Americans etc Polish, Norwegians and Belgians for Europe and Italians, Colonial Africans, Arabs and early British for east Africa and Iraq etc.
Loved the video @flamesofwar! Can't wait for the next video guys! Popped over after about 8 or 9 years and glad to see you all are still going strong! Started looking into the Team Yankee line to play out a Little Campaign/Idea I have for the Stormworks: Build and Rescue Community. Speaking of Team Yankee, Absolutely love the Models of the Tanks, Vehicles, Aircraft and Helicopters especially the French Leclerc Main Battle Tank which came out in 1992. However, this begs the question (at least from my point of view) will we get nations like say the State of Japan, Republic of China (Taiwan), The Philippines, South Korea, The People's Republic of China, North Korea, and Vietnam for something like Eugen Systems game "Wargame: Red Dragon" at some point in the future? As for the Second World War, the Late War Leviathans sounds pretty Great especially when you've got other Games Featuring Designs like the T29 "Elephant Earred" Pershing, the Maus, or even the T59 Doom Turtle and the British Tortoise. The Expansion of the Pacific war line into the Mid War (1942-1943) will be great as you can, with the newly included British and Commonwealth Forces, play out Campaign's like Malaya (Now Malaysia), Burma (Now Myanmar) or even India without having to make much in the way of adjustments with Banzai and Blitzkrieg. The past two or three years I didn't see anything for Vietnam or the Arab-Israeli wars only to find that they've been moved to their own Subpages under Team Yankee and not Flames of War as originally in the past. Nonetheless, I do have some interesting Product ideas for Both of them as well as Team Yankee in terms of Aircraft and Helicopters. Jet Aircraft: • Vought F-8E Crusader. • McDonnell Douglas F-4E Phantom II. • Grumman A-6E Intruder. • Ling-Temco-Vought (LTV) A-7E Corsair II. • English Electric Canberra and License-Built Martin B-57B Canberra. • Republic F-105D Thunderchief. • North American Aviation F-100 Super Saber. • General Dynamics F-111A/F-111F Aardvark. • Grumman F-14D Tomcat. • McDonnell Douglas F-15C Eagle/F-15E Strike Eagle. • General Dynamics F-16C Fighting Falcon. • McDonnell Douglas F/A-18A/C Hornet/Boeing F/A-18E/F Super Hornet. • Cessna A-37B Dragonfly. • British Aircraft Corporation (BAC) Strikemaster Mk. 88. • Eurofighter Typhoon. • Dassault-Breguet Super Étendard. • Dassault Rafale. • Mikoyan-Gurevich Mig-17. • Mikoyan-Gurevich Mig-21. • Mikoyan-Gurevich Mig-25 "Foxbat". • Mikoyan-Gurevich Mig-27 "Flogger D/J". • Mikoyan-Gurevich Mig-29 "Fulcrum". • Sukhoi Su-24 "Fencer". • Sukhoi Su-27 "Flanker". Piston Engined Propeller Aircraft: • Supermarine Spitfire Mk. XIV. • North American Aviation P-51D Mustang. • Focke-Wulf Fw-190D. • Avia S-199 Mule's/Messerschmitt Bf-109G "Gustav's". Helicopters: • Sikorsky UH-60A Black Hawk. • Aérospatiale SA 330 Puma. • Eurocopter AS532 Cougar. I was tempted to include the Hawker Hunter and the Dassault Mirage III and the Voltour down for the Arab-Israeli Wars but I wasn't sure if you guys had already gotten to them as well. Just spent a bit of time trying to get as much of a Decent List of Aircraft and Helicopters from the 1960's and 1970's Onwards that most Everyone knows of that would probably fit with Vietnam, Fate of a Nation and Team Yankee on the whole. New Aircraft to go with the 1942-1943 Pacific war would be Great to see as well for Campaigns like the Solomon islands with Grumman F4F-4 Wildcat Fighters, SBD-5 Dauntless Dive Bombers and Douglas TBD-1 Devastator Torpedo Bombers or Grumman TBF-1C Avenger Multirole Torpedo Bombers or the Attack on Makin Island with Grumman F6F-3 Hellcat Fighter-Bombers and Curtis SB2C-4 Helldiver Dive Bombers. Let me know what you all think about the Ideas and I'll catch you all in your next video. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, and can't wait to see what else you all come up with!
Why Clash of Steel instead of a Korean War book? You pretty much have all the models available for it. Looking forward to Pacific and the Late War Leviathans being free is a wonderful thing for you all to do! Any updates on Checkpoint Charlie or Late War Italians that you mentioned earlier this year?
Why Not Both? They only covered 4 months worth of content. If they have a second month to fill out the release schedule like usual, that still leaves 4 months worth of surprise content.
'Korea' wouldn't necessarily include all the wacky prototype vehicles that they would like to make seemingly. I think they clearly want to appeal to a different audience with Clash of Steel rather than the usual historical wargamers (thinking world of tanks, who they have an agreement with already).
@@tando6266 while that is 100% true it doesn't change the fact that the Far East has a lot of potential for expansion regardless of what name is attached to it.
I'm sorry, are the Panzer Lehr infantry just going to be the exact same plastic grenadiers that you guys put a platoon or two of in every single German box? Because it sure looks like those exact same sculpts and poses, and if that's the case, that really sucks, and I'm sure we'd all like to see actual Panzer Lehr infantry. Or maybe if you guys put mid war germans in the mid war german boxes? That would also be much appreciated, I'm sure. That complaint out of the way, OH MY GOD FAR EAST BRITISH, YESSSSSSS
I'm a huge fan of what-if scenarios and Paper Panzers. So I should be super happy right now. And yet, I feel kinda... Odd. If you spend time and energy making these tanks, than why not integrate it fully into Flames of War? Apart from the Paper Panzers, it could be easily build around the current rules with some tweaks to the armylists. Oh well... Mustn't grumble... It's going to be cool to see these tanks on the battlefield. Maybe it will even give me the motivation needed to get my Ratte painted...

Great to hear from you guys, and glad this year has been a winner for Battlefront, but, why does it feel like you guys are starting to see World War 2 as an impediment? Late war Levithans, yeah, sure not my thing, but reckon people will get use. Clash of Steel though? You are already doing a an alternate 1985 I really don't see the appeal and I think it's going to drive away the historical players, and it looks really really similar to a certain others games structure. No releases for team yankee and only one release for flames (A good release for sure). Any word on dynamic points for late war? Any word on the release or rerelease of nation unit cards and command cards? Any word on Forces price rise? I feel like this video could have been a real way to touch base but feels like a missed opportunity.
On the one hand, I agree, the paper panzers have no place in FOW and will result in a tabletop arms race that ends with everyone playing paper panzers and no one playing historical TO&Es. On the other hand, BF kind of has to continually expand their minis line, because it's a niche market, and a lot of gamers have more Shermans and Panzer IVs than they'll ever use, so they're never going to buy more of those- but they will buy new minis. It also allows the making of a new, simplified quick-play game that appeals to a younger, less patient, less historically inclined audience (competing for that demographic against video games), and is potentially a "gateway game" to recruit young, immature players into wargaming so they can mature into older, historically-inclined gamers in the years to come.
Hi Ivan, Or do like I do. I ran 6 multiday events here in NZ last year and 6 are booked for this year. 2 x EW, 2 x MW and 2 x LW.I allow only run historically "real" models. I also use set missions not the BF Matrix. Cheers Rob

WW2 clearly not in the way with Pacific and early war coming soon!
missing the great war??
The only fun thing next years is new plastic infantery for soviet and usa. everything else is quite boring.
Not sure about clash of steel.
You put maus in flames of war I quit the fucking game, nobodys playtesting this junk.
The Maus is nothing. We NEED the Ratte.
Then don't play with them Troll
Hi Ivan, Or do like I do. I ran 6 multiday events here in NZ last year and 6 are booked for this year. 2 x EW, 2 x MW and 2 x LW.I allow only run historically "real" models. I also use set missions not the BF Matrix. Cheers Rob
Too late Ivan
