But the dogs and cats are definitely hungry. That many pets are a huge responsibility and work which he now has to shoulder.

Burned sweet potato skins are not enough for seven cats and numerous dogs. Nor is a sweet potato adequate nutrition for a grown man. Dad is so obviously sad and depressed it's painful to watch. Ly must realize that the situation is not good. Someone posted recently that Duong was building a house for all of them. I wonder where they got that information. I don't remember seeing or hearing anything like that. Would dad even want to do that and what would become of the much lovelier homestead, which I like better even though it is lacking sanitation and is pretty primitive.

You should be cooking and cleaning. The pot where your husband cooked the eggs he took you for breakfast looked very dirty. Start cooking and cleaning and go visit your father and take care of him.
