The film is about an old couple waiting for their married son , who is living in the US, to return to see them . The old lady tries to call to her son but he never answers her call, though her daughter in law does revert her. The old lady discusses everything she spoke with their daughter in law to her husband until she dies. One day the old man calls her daughter in law only to discover the truth.

Wonderful Short depicting "realities" of modern day lives and aged parents' longings for their so-called "advanced" children. Robin Hobb's statement truely depicts the value of a home and its family. Seniors' as well as Niharika's compulsions are described in a phenomenal manner because these are the realities of every second family in this ecosystem. This short is a well produced outcome concerning all sections, including direction, performance, dialogues, music, et al. Congrats!

This film has touched the very core of my heart.
I can only imagine the pain of this senior couple and their loneliness. Their only dream of seeing their son, and spending time with their grandson remained unfulfilled. In desperation, the wife begins to pretend and the husband goes along without letting her know. It is unclear how Niharika came into their lives but being estranged from her family, she too had a huge void in her life. She and her son filled what was missing in the couple's life, and in turn, this whole thing became cathartic for her as well.
It is often said that there are no substitutions when it comes to family. No, sometimes, a very special person unwittingly assumes a certain role in your life ... even as make-believe... and fills your heart with the joy that you crave so much.❤️
