- Repacked Wax - 18 pack baseball box. Figured I would give the product another try. Vintage cards mixed with modern day, from the 50's all the way to current releases. Repacked Wax may not be the first of its kind, but they are definitely one of the more popular repacked items.

This reminds me of the card machines they had in arcades when I was a kid. Put in a quarter and get 12 cards. It was always just low end commons. I hope you didn't pay more then a quarter a pack...heh

Jabs is a straight out con man . Before he figured out the TH-cam algorithm he was selling the 1990 fleer Jose uribe to his suscribers for a hundred dollars and he would leave his then wife in the parking lot of stadiums so he could go inside to keep his ballhawking streak intact . Just an all around shady dude. Checkout the huge thread about him on blowout, it details all his scams.

just caught your video. I opened a full box a couple months ago, same crap that you got but had more pre-80's cards than you had. My oldest and best card in the box was a '58 Gil Hodges in nice condition. It seems that the older boxes had better hits, I too watch that Past is alive video which inspired me to get a box. Oh well, some people have all the luck! Thanks for the upload, helped me to decide not get another box!

2:10 looks like they at least give you a generous dose of pre-1987 stuff. Fairfield's boxes are terrible by contrast, and worse now that they cut the number of cards per box.

The Braves shortstop on the card was Leo Foster, who was so bad he couldn't beat out Craig Robinson, Rod Gilbreath, Larvell (Sugar Bear) Blanks or Pat Rockett for a roster spot. The Braves' shortstops were so awful that the Braves traded for Darrel Chaney and made him the starter (lifetime average .217).

4:46 Great comment on Lowenstein. And spot on, too. He usually was the bench's comic relief that bad teams' managers would being in to make the atmosphere less depressing. It helped that he was usually better than the guys who he was replacing.

6:07 Second-year UD Alomar card. I'd be reasonably pleased. The Tanana card ten seconds later was also nice; he's a borderline HOF guy as well, but he'll probably never get in. (But he'd probably get in before Saberhagen.) Also... the 1995 Ozzie Smith was a silver signature parallel.

11:17 You had a couple of pretty idiosyncratic guys there. Bob Forsch won 168 games striking out less than four guys per nine innings - probably the lowest strikeout rate if any 150-win pitcher in the last 80 years, him or Lew Burdette.
Frank Lacorte had a horrible temper. He used to rip up his uniforms, punch things (including himself) and generally just go off like a firework whenever he would lose or pitch badly. Since he was 23-44 lifetime, you'd think he'd have gotten used to it.

It’s about time I found you on TH-cam and subscribe. Those are some pretty cool packs of cards, but I’m with you that surely some boxes are stacked to get people to buy them. Interesting to see the different designs through the years, and somehow the older cards still look better.

The last several packs really saved this box, for awhile thought it was complete trash but 78 RB Ryan, 61 WS card, 77 McCovey, 77 Yaz , 1985 Ripken regular card + AStar , Saberhagen & Orel RC , 71 Fergie & couple others were nice cards.
Plus 65 Whitey Ford
That Whitney Ford maybe $15. in that condition.

How much $ is a box? Doesn't seem like many great cards. A couple decent. They should not repackage checklists or manager cards.

This is a rip off.......if these chocken chokers are chargong $95 for thos garbage .....I am sitting on a gold mine (66-72, 87-93 for baseball). and thats after I sold most of my best cards 10 years to early.
