Even when hating each other offscreen, they still have chemistry. So it's really not because of the script, the chemistry is a natural reaction between two persons.
They had incredible chemistry on the screen!And off the screen.... But Never got involved in real life..... There were married too other people.... Bruce and Cybil.... Moonlighting my favorite show of the 8os..... Bruce is so funny best acting on Moonlighting..... And Cybil is gorgeous good actress....
Not true. Read Curtis "Viola/Booger" Armstrong's autobiography. Cybil and Bruce hooked up early on in the show and Bruce said it was a big mistake. The two leads HATED each other before the first season was over. It got to the point where diva type rules were enforced on the set where they had to come on set at the exact same time from the same measured distance and where they refused to feed lines off camera to their co-stars and guest stars. They were both super spoiled brat actors in the worst sense of the word and they didn't socialize with anybody because they were on ego tripping high horses.
@@susanp.203That’s interesting since Curtis didn’t join the show until what, mid-late S3? I can see them both being divas and in that, much of the drama probably got exaggerated to legendary proportions. If they did really despise each other, they hid it well onscreen (and outtakes).
I'm listening to an audiobook about Moonlighting right now and Cybill did revealed to the author that at the start of season 1, Bruce went to her place one time and they made out and almost reached 3rd base but Bruce stopped while realizing that it was a bad idea since they probably were going to work together for a long time and she agreed. I suspect Cybill did not tell the whole truth about the hook up because in Curtis Armstrong's biography, he wrote : "[Bruce] intimated to me that there had been one disastrously ill-conceived 'thing' between him and Cybill, early on in the show's run. While not going into explicit details, he made it clear that that kind of mistake was one I should be sure never to make."
It is my understanding that they were very attracted to each other and met up once and was some intimacy but they decided to keep their relationship professional.

Both weren't married in the first half of the show. CS married in the second half of the show and BW about ten months after her.
