Never lift up your patient like that. You transfer him over. but without lifting him up. Your back will be done in a year if you do that to every patient 8hrs a day.
I take care of elderly most of them can't bend their knees. You literally pick them up. But we don't use belts...we just hug them very tightly chest to chest. And the arms are held together behind the shoulder blades. No restraint on the back. Just the legs and shoulders. I don't know if this is better than the belt trick. But I don't see many videos of transferring people the way we do it.
Why do you risk yourself lifting a heavy patient when you can do it with a STANDING AID machine. You can secure him with the sling attached to the standing aid machine and with a press of the button, you can just lift him up without hurting your back.

Not advisable especially if the patient/residents is way too heavy or dead weight. It will get you in the future back pain. Thats is why ww have a lift machines like sara steady, hoist lift etc.
I look after a old people ifor 14 yrs but i nvr do that it will sprain ur back..put his 2 hand in ur shoulder then ug her below the arms and put on the bed
Unfortunately, not every country has public systems that give the devices people might need nor said devices are affordable to everyone, so yeah, unfortunately, that's how many people are moved from bed to chair... And that is how their family members ( because, again, not everyone everywhere around the world can afford to pay carers) have to learn to move them... Been there, done that😢
Oh no! You are holding the whole weight becareful! Thats not right. Plus you are seating him too far from the top. His legs will be hunging and you will have to lift him to pull to the top😢 He was supposed to be seating closer to the top.

Was Just thinking that too
How do you “transfer” vs “lift”?
Not a good lift. Back will break down🤣
Just transfer properly u dont need lifting like that..
Still need to use your left knee to his right knee.

One has to be strong enough to do that . Also there will be great stress on the back of the person doing the lift. THANK YOU.
lol how NOT to transfer a patient
Kindly post the right way to transfer patient 😢

It's literally breaking your back on ppl that have lived their life already.
That’s a 2 person pivot transfer everything is wrong here
You don't transfer like this unless you want your back fucked up 😂
Someone cannot bear weight your to use a hoyer lift. No one is worth a broken spine.
I'm petite, and I had a patient who is way taller than me and his huge😂. The way I lift is by using pivot and momentum. It'll save my back😂
Thank you ❤
Good job. My patient is too talk and heavy to try that. He can’t stand.
Then he's 2 person assistance. Watch your back, call for help if it's no lifting equipment.
Uses a different technique, that's not correct way, if you like to break your back do it.
I agree
what is the name of that belt tied on patient? also I noticed the lifter kept her in between patients wo legs which is correct
I really need to know how to lift up the petain to wheelchair to bed
Npk strong ni kabayan oh😮
always transfer on better side of the patient
i do this and i’m perfectly fine and it doesn’t hurt the patient yall clearly have never had first hand experience and are commenting crazy 😭

What is Sara steady?
The disregard for his weak right arm when putting on the belt, though. 😢
Where do you buy the black belt?
In the medical supplies store..
god bless them
I can’t my back will be hurt 😞 no way Jose
The background music is too noisy.😂

That technique is illegal in the UK and for good reasons
You're so right ✅️
What about if the body is hard?
I agree
I still can't see how your lifting that man alone
That’s a wrong way to transfer… always use a lift belt to protect your back or else your back will be in trouble
I have been trained caregivers
👍👍👍
The wheel chair must be closer to the bed and it must be 40 degree
Besides listening the person, she left him by the end of the bed, how he is going to be up on the pillow? She fail on that.
You should hold the shoulder
C'est du boulot 😮😮😮😮
Great job but be careful with your back. When you get older…..
Grabe galing ni ate
Just get a hoyst easy and no back strain Amazon
Nothing is better than something for myself
Should have been transferred closer to his pillow, not at the end of bed.
Use a hoyer lift

Wrong! Ask someone to assist you in that case.
wwow
Never lift. Pull towards you. It’s much easier for the both of you.
Oh no!

And I am certified
All the weight she took . Sorry but no your back is done is 3 month .
OMG...wrong moves...get closer to the head of the bed at least 😢
Omg not a good thing. U hurt your back
You need to go for training
Your back it at risk. Be careful
Bend with your knees not with your back technique
You gonna kill your back.
Bro, why does the screen say this?🤣🤣 This is not funny bro is sad a little bit😢😢
You will hurt your back
Bad manual handling techniques
No así no
I was going to make a wheelchair joke but I don't think he would be able to stand it
😅
I see is all wrong
Completely wrong way of transferring a patient. Don not follow.
