    This R385 diaphragm pump is the perfect choice for any project that requires water to be moved from one place to another. The pump is supplied with 1M of silicon hose that you can cut to your requirements, the hose provides a good seal and will not leak.
    Possible uses/projects include; a small aquarium pump, automatic plant watering system, making a water feature or music-activated dancing water features to name but a few. when pumping a liquid the pump runs very quietly. The pump is also capable of pumping air.
    The pump can handle pumping heated liquids up to a temperature of 80 degrees Celcius and when suitably powered can suck water through the tube from up to 2m and pump water vertically for up to 3m.

      There will be a point that it won't work at all, I'm not sure if that point is 5V or lower. As it is rated for 6V - 12V you would be taking a risk.

      Hi, we haven't tried this but we suspect not very far. So, if you wanted to make a gentle water feature where water trickles down some rocks then this would probably be a good solution but if you wanted some sort of fountain jet then this would not be suitable for that.

    You connect the jumper with the pump and what else?

    • @kitronik
      @kitronik  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, the pump is supplied with a length of tubing. Cut the tubing to the desired length and push one bit onto one connector and the other bit onto the remaining connector.
      All you need is a suitable power supply and the pump will begin to work as soon as it is connected, there is no switch on the pump. That is all that is required, apart from the water you want to pump and the container you want to pump it into.
      If you want to add a switch you can do and if you want to control switching with a microcontroller you can do that also.

      Hi, we have only stocked, and have experience with, pumps that work in one direction only. There are some practicalities involved which will likely mean that bi-directional pumps are not common. Making a pump that has the same efficiency in both directions seems like it might have expensive solutions.
      If you will be using inexpensive pumps, it might work well to have two separate pumps controlled by the same microcontroller?

      You can then add a switch between the power and the pump, or instead of a switch, you can use a microcontroller for some automated conditional switching controlled by code. You could create a water feature that only turns on when someone approaches or an automated plant watering system. The possibilities are endless.
