  • INFINITE Upgrades On Super Mines Are ABSURD! BTD6 / Bloons TD 6 - in this run of more ascended upgrades, we try some spicy towers in a quest to see if it can hypothetically survive infinite rounds on only a limited income source! Featuring of course the super mines, big plane and more.

    Do Perma-spike and spike storm next, and go more evenly between the paths. A spike's total damage is damage*pierce, so upgrading pierce is actually useful with spike factories unlike other towers

      you do know isab has no idea how the spike factory actually works and refuses to read comments actually analyzing it, right? and the same with damage as a whole? theres a reason he uses Biggest One and Spike storm, two of the three worst upgrade paths in the game, and uses the objectively worse upgrade path on inferno ring

    A challenge idea with this mod: the only damage you can do to bloons is with a single glue gunner. You can have as many farms as you want. Can you beat round 100?

      The short answer is no, glue gunner's damage is not enough to kill the bad, even on logs

    The upgrades are ADDITIVE, not Multiplicative. The formula is 1 + level * bonus. As the commenter who caused this confusion in the first place, I apologize. I was trying to convey that adding damage + speed + pierce is a powerful combination, but clearly it could've been worded better.
    Edit: It appears the increase IS actually multiplicative. I saw this line of code:
    var mult = 1 + __instance.increase;
    but I misunderstood this line:
    damageModel.damage *= mult;
    What the first shows is the variable mult being defined as the value 1.1 in this case. Then it modifies the damage of the tower by multiplying by 1.1. What I misunderstood is that the tower damage change is saved after each iteration; the function runs for every upgrade that the tower gets.

    I noticed that the bug is that only the T5 path doesn't cost 2x. The cross paths cost 2x.

      If u look at 8:40 when he buys the spike factory the upgrades dont show up until he gets the cross path so i think its just a bug that everything costs 2x

    I wonder how powerful/helpful this would be in boss events, given that you have lots of money. It could even make non-paragons viable… maybe

      if you had a couple million maybe you could probably solo elite bosses with a single tower, we saw what archmage did last video (albeit with somewhat ridiculous upgrades)

    I kinda wanna see how long ascended upgrades can survive in a game with infinite farms. Similar to like how the paragons did. I wonder if ISAB included the round skip mod, a tower with 100x ascended upgrades on each category would survive tough rounds like round 10000.

      With how bloons health go up exponentially and how the ascended upgrades are linear, you'll need a lot more than 100x upgrades to even reach round 10000.
      (Edit) Nvm Isab cleared up the fact that the upgrades aren't linear. According to him, they are multiplicative, so they go up by 1.1x, and now I can see how strong the upgrades can get.

      1.1 to the power of 100 is about 13,000 , 13,000 sqaured is 169,000,000[since there are 2 categories that increase dps exponetially pierce/range doesn't increase dps after a certian point] so a tower would have 169 million times it's base dps. Crazy!

      @@BossTyphlosion bloon help doesn't go up exponentially, they go up linearly, and ascended upgrades grow N^2 for things that aren't sentry paragon or spike factories, N^3 for spacs, and N^4 for sentry paragon

    We need to see the 555 Spactory with ascended upgrades, and how far it gets

      I just tried that and I got well into the 10000s but at some point around damage upgrade 300 the damages flips integer value to negative and thus does no damage, so the spac 555 spac is defeated by a red bloon.

      @@kettydreams65 it would be really funny if an unintended consequence of this would be giving the bloons HP back since you're technically subtracting a negative from their HP due to the integer flip.

    I noticed that, the upgrades that arent on 5 cost twice the amount then the ones that are on 5
    so 025 tack zone would cost twice on the first and second path but normaly on the last
    as for the spike 520 the first path cost the normal amount and the rest twice

    You should do any tower you want, and use max farms to see just how long 1 tower can last.

    Didnt we learn from the spike factory paragon mod that pierce = damage for the spikes because it just lets them hit more times? So wouldnt the ascended force be extremely good for the extra pierce?

    Ray of doom with ascended upgrades might be insane! Also I think you can change the cost of the extra upgrades in the mod settings if the cost bug is still occurring

    205 sniper, I think even as a cheap tower it’s scaling would be interesting, especially since it’s attack speed already scales on its own. Might be unironically good if the damage can keep up to shred single targets

    Im not sure if anyone noticed this before but at 8:00 the sell price of the ace was 521,670 dollars and the speed upgrade was 18,000 but after the upgrade the sell price was 548,670. that is a total of 27,000 resell value from a 18,000 dollar upgrade value: just a free 9000 out of free air.

    Besides the obvious issues that should be easily fixed in the infinite upgrades mod, I'd like if you could suggest the DPS modder to add periods every 3 digits to seperate the multiplicatives of thousands, in other words "1.000.000" for a million instead of "1000000" as the periods help identify bigger numbers more quickly, especially useful for a counter that's quickly changing.
    Speaking of that: When clicking the counter green button, to also add an option to change the DPS counter changing speed, and more importantly to show more detailed stats like highest DPS ever reached! ♥

      @@kman6004 I thought of that and commas are for decimal numbers and to separate each group of 3 numbers from then on like "1,500,952" the 500 being half of 1 (the 1 as in 1, 2, 3, not 1 million) and the rest being even called numbers between 0 and 1. It's definitely not a European thing, it's a clarity thing.

    I did actually find a really funny bug in the mod that gave moabs/bloons health instead of damaging them and the requirements felt inconsistent but it was around 200 damage buff and 200 attack speed buff. I did some really fun messing around with this but it's really goofy.

      Just in case you didn't know the reason for that you might find it interesting: There is a max integer value in computers in general that you can store, and when it gets too high it loops back around to the lowest integer value which is a negative. Damage literally got too high for the game to handle it and it went negative

    I want to see the differences in strength of the 3 snipers with infinite scaling. I don't imagine cripple moab would be very good, but the benefit of the sniper, similar to the super mines, is that it instantly hits and cannot miss the target. I think it would give it a huge edge over most other towers that for example wouldn't be able to accurately hit a DBT.

    I think that the only way super mines could have lost was if a bloon had ran the entire length of the track before it could put down the first mine of the round

    Nooo, I was hoping you would try on a temple ...
    Vengeful if possible but yeah, you would have had to use more than 3 towers for the setup.
    Besides paragon, I believe we can agree, it is the most expensive tower.

    I don't the three tower limit thing. I get wanting to focus on one tower doing all the damage but It just seems so counter-intuitive to not have a bunch of farms on screen when playing this mod

    Try boosting the super mines with normal boosts. and or try the 5-3-5 spactory in a normal game if you can to see how long it can actually survive

    I wonder how this mod would affect the M.A.D since the damage is multiplicative to the base damage and the M.A.D has high Moab damage woukd it be better or worse than the S mines

    I Wanna See the M.A.D In Action With this mod. The Fact that The Upgrades are Multiplicative And not Additive Means It Might Outscale The BADS Before they even start Scaling! The Ceramics Tho? Yeah no.

    Does the damage upgrade affect the spirit of the forest vines? If it does that would make it plus two farms on logs truly infinite I think.

    try biggest one or ring of fire, maybe superstorm & i think u jug on a map like maybe moon landing, plus bma with all attack speed could be funny idk if thatd work tho

    Fun fact: when only using 1 farm the 025 is better than the 520 per round and when late game where the rounds are longer the 250 is better than both (with the ability of course)

    It might be a little bland but you should do a boss battle with this mod but you keep the same dps tower for the full game.
