The guitar solo on "God Only Knows" is so blazing hot it melted my DNA! ~ I'm going to order this CD on line right now!!!! Must own this music !!! AWE SOME! I can't get over how freaking great this album is!! How did the world miss out on this amazing super-nova of rock? The world is so STUPID!
I worked at a record store when this came out. It played all day in the store, sold all buy my copy, and it was in my trucks cd layer for around a month. Still smokes!
I spelled a few words wrong, but I'm guessing the errors are easy to read the way I meant them!

Early-90s stuff absolutely great, not found in the music services. Self-title first album is priceless from first note to last. This one outstanding.

Found this CD in a off sales store in Manaus-AM (Brazil)... Where also Found names like Robben Ford, Stevie Ray Vaugh, Albert King, Jonny Winter and so on... Eric Gales really impressed me and keeps doing it... Great choice dude!!
Imagine that; I stumbled onto this very CD in France while looking for guitar oriented music. I have been a real fan since. His rendition of "I want you" is just it. Amazing talent. To me, he goes along with all of the underdogs, such as Melvin Taylor that would deserve a lot more exposure. Although Eric has bloomed out as of lately. I will not miss him at the Guitar Sanctuary in McKinney on June 4th, 2015; Thanks for resurrecting an album that passed by so unnoticed. Get that Angel of the night!

@@porkbelly0713 I have now seen him several times live. I would have never thought back then. I was surprised to learn that he is not left handed, but he learned to play left handed. So the strings are inverted on his guitar, unlike Jimi for example. Maybe part of his extreme dexterity is because his right hand is on the fret board rather than strumming as in the usual configuration.
I have been a fan of Eric since the first album. Also his brothers. I met Eric a few years ago at a Hendrix tribute concert. After his performance he was eating a hot dog in the lobby. He was super nice and posed for a picture with me.

Yeah,man he kills it.never understood how he got passed over when everybody namechecks him from Eric Johnson to Steve Vai, the big mega seller guitar guys.i bought his first CD when I was a kid.he was too.he was 16 when he recorded that one.his brother made him finish high school before he could go on tour for it,which kind of hurt the momentum,I think.

AHHH! Thank you! This is the only CD of Eric Gales or the Gales Brothers I did not have, I like to stack 'em with my Burnsides, damn hot licks! I do the same with Mountain and Steppenwolf, they just seem so related. #5 a long time waiting to be covered, from Abbey Road, one of my all time Beatles tops, well, of 1,000, so there are many tops! Smokin!

One of the greatest under rated guitar, can't seem to find his older stuff available to download especially their first album. Heard this stuff when I was in Arkansas when the first cd came out.

love to compare, we go from Dick Dale and Lonnie Youngblood, their Hendrix days to his cousin Guitar Shorty, who helped the Gales brothers learn it, yet a step back we have Albert King, his subtle dance of cords and voice, learned from two nails and a cable, so amazing.. my latest bad axes, Tinsley Ellis, Son Seals, and Son Seals. Then again, Son is gone to glory. Got so many not so much to compare, each has his own spirit to touch us. Once, Jimi was with his band after a gig, and Mitch Mitchell, (they didn't always get along so well) said something Jimi didn't like so Jimi slapped him. Mitch told Jimi, never touch him again. Jimi said, "I'll always touch you." Hope for us Ted, death a temporary set back, Jimi jams on... Oh, and Elvis ate my lunch when I left the table, s'ok, he gave me Suspicious Minds... haha. As you say for one and all, known or not, I love these players, they stand on their own, give us so much. Be well... ~CorVus~

haha, the first part is all truth, who Jimi hung and played with and his ties to Gales, etc... the rest well, s'all in ya' mind, and yes, the Jimi -Mitchell tale is true, just how he was, they didn't always get along. I study Fuck, so I know a couple a few things, not much, always appreciate the input- I was raised bad. Trippy.
