Just an insight of South East Asia culture, it is a common thing for majority parents and elderlies (aunties, uncles, relatives) will keep asking girls/women when they are going to get married or if they have bf every time they meet up at family gatherings. If they don't have anybody, then these relatives will want to introduce someone someone to them. It happened to me a lot before. That's why these days, most Asian women are quite reluctant to go to these gatherings 😅
I've been listening to the podcast, and I'm an episode behind on the podcast. That said, I think it would help if you started your episodes with what you learned from your comment section/discord. You did with the pronunciation of "Faye", but not with anything else for which you seemed to be in the weeds and just pulling things from the mist. I appreciate that you're both on a journey of discovery and understanding. Maybe ask your non-white friends about some things more often, because things like making names more acceptable to English speakers, not knowing how to pronounce the name of the super hot woman we've been collectively thirsting after, and just making wild assumptions about habits that span multiple cultures wouldn't happen so often and thereby feel less cringe. I love you both, and will continue to listen to the podcast, so I hope you take this with the spirit in which it has been given- one of love and respect and a hope for future love and respect. Ask me about "cram school" if no one has explained it to you yet. I was honestly never going to make this comment, however another podcast I love that's about sharing fears between East Asian and Western cultures didn't even bother to consider non-Christian funeral rights in the West (and the host is an American woman) that I felt the need to say something. Sorry. Don't mean to be a downer. I look forward to your future podcasts/videos.
You have absolutely nothing to apologize for. In fact, we owe you the apology if we ever made any offense or came off as insensitive in any way. Thank you for leaving this very honest and important comment. We love your suggestion and will incorporate a comment/corrections section for our episodes going forward and give you full credit for this wonderful suggestions. Just of note, we film our episodes several weeks before they release so we have enough time to edit them. The next episode we are filming will be S2 EP6 pt 2, so we will start the comment/corrections section at the beginning of this episode onward... As for the cram schools, I asked a friend of mine who teaches in South Korea after we filmed the episode where this came up. He described Korean cram schools as learning academies kids go to for 2 or more hours after school to supplement learning at school and make student's more competitive for college. And the students are typically part of a group, large or small, that focus on specific classes based on the student's needs or what the parents want. Are Thai cram schools similar?
@ thanks so much for hearing me out! Hilariously, my knowledge of cram school comes from studying in Japan and learning about SK. Thai cram schools seem to be closer to SK cram schools than Japanese style, but they all focus on entry exams for college (in Japan middle school kids also go to cram school for high school entrance exams.) But cram schools have a separate faculty from the main school. Once again, thanks for hearing me out! I hope we all continue to learn and grow together 😅😊
i finally read the novel and I think it's important to say that Khun Nueng has no filter whatsoever LOL that scene she tells Fah all the kinky details of what she does with Anueng in bed was wild but so in character with Khun Nueng in the book LOL I do prefer the series Nueng over the book one, because sometimes the no filter thing was too much hahhaha that comment I left on another video about Khun Nueng and pretty doctor Wan and spoilers of that novel well after reading blank that one suspicion I had about Khun Nueng was answered gloriously so spoilers for blank the novel Khun Nueng hinted at sleeping with women behind her grandma's back, around the time she was in Uni she knew that in the girl school she went girls were messing around with each other, but she didnt because she was not at the appropriate age. she never slept with chet either , and she confirms in the book that she has only been with women
@@biggayenergypod that indeed sounds like torture ahahhahaha the book chet also dared to do things I will never forgive him for 1. the reason he bought that car for anueng 2. he dare put his hands on Khun Nueng

well after reading blank that one suspicion I had about Khun Nueng was answered gloriously
so spoilers for blank the novel
Khun Nueng hinted at sleeping with women behind her grandma's back, around the time she was in Uni
she knew that in the girl school she went girls were messing around with each other, but she didnt because she was not at the appropriate age. she never slept with chet either , and she confirms in the book that she has only been with women
I am very glad she didn't sleep with chet. That just seems like torture 🤣

the book chet also dared to do things I will never forgive him for

2. he dare put his hands on Khun Nueng
He put his hands on her!? Like violently?
@@biggayenergypod yep, after anueng's accident at the hospital, he grabs her by the throat and if not for Fah....
