Collection has no clash with minimalism concept as they're poles apart ideas.... Collection is what you gather throughout Life whereas Minimalism is the way you use them in your day to day Life. You have a nice collection but sometimes things look clumsy....too much. My mother in law never heard the word minimalist all her Life but was an ardent follower of minimalism... She had a huge collection which she utilised very thoughtfully. Things appeared not more not less ... Just perfect.
Agree. My nani/nana home , my dadi home, my eldest kaka home in coastal Karnataka are examples of minimalism. Just bare minimum in their homes. They are all above 80 and live in homes that very old as well. Maitreyee you’ve got the concept wrong. Fine to be whatever you are but saying pehle ke log mininimalist nahi thei is way off the mark

You didn't mention about Assam. In there are so many districts which have produced kansa utensils. In Assamese culture we daily use kansa utensils.

We still have uncountable pital aur tambe ke huge khana pakane ke bartan hai jo meri dadi ke Zamane ke hai. Aaj unka mantainence bahut hi mushkil hai. We are thinking to sell the huge ones and keep the small ones for cooking & decor use.
Nice collection of brass and kanse utensils, even I am fond of it. One brass vessel u showed as gujarat actually we marathis use it for making Tea and it's called "Shakuntala ". I purchased it more for its name.

Hello maitriji kansa called bell metal in English reason being it produces a bell sound also to test its purity👌👌👍👍 on my jan 24 visit to Kolkata purchased Kansa plate d bowls for Thakur bhog in my house. Genuine Kansa utensils can be purchased from Moradabad Kolkata Rajasthan.last week there was a art d craft fair in Powai Durga pujo ground d purchased a Kansa small bowl to rub on the feet to remove the pith d negative energy from body very very helpful

That's perfect u say about the concept of life ( minimalistic or minimalistic) . We dont need to put our life in one frame , theory or category ... just we should celebrate our life only❤ we too have the same activity to collect things , most of them are not used even , but in daily routine if you change ur cup with new colour it gives a change from our monotonous life . It happens and its beautiful and nice .
