Thanks Nick and Jill. Stratford is a favourite with my folks, and they suggested it as a an overnight stopover. A stay in a travelodge there was even reasonable - I expected because of the history of the town it would have been expensive. I couldn't have the crispy duck as I'd just been filming their friends on the river. My Mrs has no such morals 😄
Thanks for watching Matt and Becs. There is so much history there, sadly we were only there for a few hours as it was an overnight stay so probably missed some of the sights.
Hello Andy, really enjoyed your walk around Stratford, brought back so many memories, loved the church and cemetery and the little squirrels. There is so much to see there isn't there. Great photo footage and loved the music , take care x Julie and Tony x
Thanks Adzey - It was a great place to wander around. If you saw the photo of the derelict looking house - that was overlooking the river and just down from the RSC. It must be a hugely valuable property but looked like it could have been in one of your abandoned building videos.
That was a great tour Andy, great to see all the Tudor buildings and architecture. Lovely by the water, wow so many swans about! It’s nice seeing all the canal boats too. Fab photos that squirrel is posing well for you! Love the swan photo too 😊
@WomanOutdoors Thanks LB, we do indeed have some great history, and thankfully, most of it has been preserved. Stratford is a pretty cool place. Thanks for watching 🙂.
It was late afternoon on a Monday, early evening when we went out so most of the shops were closed or were closing so we had it to ourselves apart from the area around the RSC which is always busy with tourists. The food was pretty good, I'd recommend it.
Morning Andy Stratford Upon Avon has been on our must visit list for a while so throughly enjoyed this ❤ we really do need to visit soon Great to see Tudor buildings Shame to see the curse of the high street in Stratford like you said not what you'd expect there. WOW loved the retro porsche Shame the weather cut your tour short Great photos Have a great weekend ❤️
What a great place to visit. Shakespeares home no less. Loved the long boats/ canal boats too. You had quite good weather by the looks. Doesn’t the world have pearls of places to visit Andy. Inspirational. A treat to watch. ❤ Happy rest of the week Andy. Before I forget: Loved the photos and that squirrel. A right camera animal. 🇳🇱🙋♀️🥝
Thanks for watching Anita. It was a shame we only had one night in Stratford. It's a wonderful place. The squirrels were everywhere so easy to photograph.
Hi Andy. I haven’t been to Stratford for many years, but you’ve rekindled my interest to visit there again 😁 Stunning place and always look forward to the photos at the end 👍
Hi Phil. I hadn't been in decades. It did leave a lasting impression on me back in the 80s, so I was happy to revisit. My wife had never been before. Thanks for watching 🙂
HI Andy, we haven't been to Stratford for years either. After seeing your video we think it's time for a re-visit 👍It's steeped in history - the architecture is fabulous. It was a shame the church was locked and you didn't get the chance to see Shakespeare's grave. Lovey by the river. A very enjoyable vlog - thank you! ❤
Thanks for watching ladies, it was late afternoon, early evening so it wasn't a surprise that the church was locked. The last time I was there would have been around '86 or '87, some parts of it have changed but thankfully not the historic parts.
Hi Andy great vlog. The buildings in Stratford are just beautiful nice to see. Mrs G does like Christmas shop! Thanks for telling us where Shakesphere is buried We enjoy places like this. Food looked amazing..... Thanks for sharing ❤
Thanks for watching, folks. You might want to call in on your UK tour now that you're permanently on the road. The bistro we went to is highly recommended.
Love the old architecture and yes of course I’ve been - a beautiful place to visit and spend a few days exploring and we even did the 5k Park Run down there by the river 🏃♂️ Great tour and lovely images with some sketchy narrative at times 😂😂 but all made for a great little film Andy 👍🏻
Keith, it's definitely worth a visit if you're in Warwickshire. I guess it's part of the country most of us overlooked on our way to the southwest. Thanks for watching 🙂
Apologies for not being in the prem Andy, hope you're well. A fabulous market town around Stratford Upon Avon, really nice to see around and of course see the various buildings and it's architecture, what a beautiful town!! The town is so clean and pretty, very impressive indeed ( obviously a shame about that beautiful timber building ) but as you mentioned, it's the curse of the highstreet striking again. you've inspired us to want to visit there! Love the connections with Shakespeare too! Thank you, for this epic video Andy!
@PinnedonPlaces Thanks for watching, and no worries about missing the premiere. Life gets in the way sometimes. I've been out tonight and haven't had a chance to catch your new one yet 😮.
@@OutandaboutwithAndy Similar to what you said lovely Andy, we don't mind! Life gets hectic, but I'll always make time for those who deliver fab content like yourself! Really did enjoy seeing around the town, so pretty! Thanks again, have a wonderful evening!!
Some of the hardest times in my teaching career was teaching those mandatory units on Shakespeare. Although I did cheat in one unit and used a modern language translation of his work...which went way better than even I had anticipated. lol
I can't say I've read much of the original works, Bruce. Most of what I have read has thankfully been translated into modern English. Stratford though is pretty in any language, old or new. I hope you're having a great week.
Hi Andy, Epic. Through the film, I see your passion for filming. Peaceful and your voice tone is superb to represent Shakespeare's hometown. Was he lady's man? haha. So much respect to Shakespeare in a way. I have never known this town. I see your warmth within you through the film, especially the photographs. I really enjoy it and I thank YOU.
Thank you for watching and your kind words. Shakespeare did have a wife, Anne Hathaway - her cottage still stands in Stratford but we didn't come across it in the short time we were there.
Great video again Andy, must admit it's a place ive never been to but it sure looks very interesting & a stunning setting. The architecture is unbelievable & every way you turn there is something that catches the eye, definitely on my bucket list Andy 👍 In such a beautiful setting i must admit i thought that the modern architecture of the Royal Shakespeare Company building, especially the tower construction was a bit of a blot on the landscape 👎
Thanks again for watching, Andy. Warwickshire seems to be a county that everyone seems to forget about. Perhaps it's the proximity to Birmingham and Coventry that puts people off. Stratford is definitely worth a visit. I agree with the tower on the RSC building. I can't really think of a logical reason why it exists. Hopefully, you can have spectacular views of Stratford from up there.
Birthplace of Shakespeare!
Great to know.
Thanks for sharing the history with us dear Andy!
Thumbs up!
Thanks for watching Aishu, it's really appreciated.
Hi, Andy...Such a beautiful walk ...Big thumbs up 14...look at my boat ... lol...Elizabeth..No ice cream today...
@elizabethsmart3705 Thanks for watching Elizabeth and mooring your boat there for my video 😀
So beautiful scenery, spectacular architecture, enjoyed watching your wonderful video, best wishes to you ❤❤❤👍…
@@visualjewels Thanks for watching 🙂 I'm glad you enjoyed the video.
Superb! Gorgeous place with a nice storey and crispy duck! Great shots as always 👍

Iconic place...beautifully filmed... Nice work Andy!

Thanks Julie and Tony, yeah there was so much to see - just a few hours didn't really do it justice, it's a great town.
It's a really nice place there me and jan love love this place great video guys Don 🤠🇬🇧👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks for watching Don. An overnight stay didn't really do it justice, there is so much to see and explore in Stratford.

Thanks for watching Yasmin. The squirrels were great, plenty of them so they were quite confident and I had the long lens of the fz82 to capture them.
Really awesome place to visit! You guys have great history over there👍🏼
@WomanOutdoors Thanks LB, we do indeed have some great history, and thankfully, most of it has been preserved. Stratford is a pretty cool place. Thanks for watching 🙂.
That was really nice, Andy! The buildings are so cool. The cemetery was beautiful 😊
Thanks for watching DL - if you ever get to visit the UK, a trip to Stratford is well worth a visit.
Such a beautiful place, not many people about when you went. The food sounded amazing, and great photos at the end. Great video

Wonderful tour and another place I've never been. The big wheel looks a bit out of place, though I'm sure the views are breathtaking. Keith
