That's pretty neat but you threaded that Teflon tape on the wrong way

Thanks I'm making one and a video. One thing though, you should have put the gasket on the inside the bucket to seal the water in. Check out my margarita machine made with a igloo cooler.

What are the sizes and brands of the water heater element and the water conductor?
    Great video! Thanks!

      110v 1500w element is what I used

Why did you choose a 1500w heater? I opted for 2000w with a 12ga cord and a 7gal bucket waiting on it to arrive for my build. I'm going to try and use the element seal with a gasket lockring over the myers hub. Thoughts?

Just built mine. I decided to do a 1500w over 2000w simply because of amperage. A 1500w can pull about 13 amps. 2000w can pull up to 18amps. My house has almost all 20amp circuits but friends with older homes might not.

      1500w is more for 110v that's why. I wouldn't run 2000w unless I wired it up to 220v. Just a safety thing.

I wouldn't use conduit it's galvanized just get you a 1in stainless steel hex nut

Or even a brass 1in coupling would work

@@bobwagner6310 look into microplastic. It's released thru heat. This is not safe.

I purchased the element and the 1” conduit hub and the element is too wide to go through the conduit hub. I suggest going to the hardware store to make sure they fit before purchasing to keep you from having to return stuff to Amazon.

I had the same problem. The elements need to be straight and I had to remove the plastic sleeve from the coupling for it to fit.

I had the same problem, I opted to smack the element 4 or so times with a rubber mallet making loop in the end a little tighter, worked great and have had many successful cooks!

Interesting - i'd like to throw one of these together for small Boils -- any chance you can give us a Parts list (Lowes or Home Depot Part Number) Sure would appreciate it. Thanks for the informative video... :)

I do not have the part list from Lowes. I put a list in my description that will help give you an idea of what is needed.
