    I wonder how many years or practice you dedicated to achieve such an amazing eye to put this shapes in a such low polymesh and the patience to make it work until you move to the next step, I'm making a Keany Reeves likeness for months and my mesh is at the millions right now, and after seeing your work I just had to redo it with your basemesh, and I NEED to learn how to do that.
    Thank you for the video Hadi, just changed my perspective on the likeness process SO MUCH

    I have a question. When I'm working on a portrait, if I match one photo with another and then put them back together again, they don't match. When I fix the problem, the other photos don't fit and the process repeats forever. How can I make it fit after going through multiple photos, like 00:24:29 and 01:14:03?

    • @HadiKarimi
      @HadiKarimi  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      it happens all the time, you have to keep repeating the process until it matches all the refs. it's something that you have to learn with practice.

    Hey Hadi, you have an amazing tutorial! you showed the process & every step of details.
    I have a question regarding matching spotlight reference. when you have the mesh matched the reference, you changed the angle to work on some areas. Then you are able to snap the mesh back to the angle that matches the reference photo. Is there a trick on ?

    Such a great sculpt and tutorial, thank you very much! I have one question: why would you disable universal camera? Zdevs recommend to use UC always when you work with 3D stuff. Thanks!

    • @TheRealJerseyJoe
      @TheRealJerseyJoe 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, exactly I have the same question as well. From my perspective the "new" universal camera is an improvement over the "old" and often inaccurate perspective camera in ZB. Don't get me wrong, I say use whatever works for you but I'm not really clear why the author of this tutorial would prefer not to use the universal camera and I would be interested to hear the reasons for this decision. Regardless, great work !

    • @qyoinqyuri
      @qyoinqyuri 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@TheRealJerseyJoe I did some experiments and the perspective distortion breaks in both the universal and classic camera when the object is considered too large in ZBrush. For example if you start with a head, both cameras distort the model correctly. However if you add the body, you may notice that it's no longer possible to get short focal lengths or wide angles to work in ZBrush when zoomed into the head.
      Anyway, it seems that this is called "Auto-Crop" by Pixologic, and although other 3D software don't have this issue, I guess this is inevitable for ZBrush from a technical standpoint otherwise it would have been fixed by now. Both the universal and the classic camera have this issue though, so I'm not entirely sure why Hadi Karimi prefers classic camera.
      One potential reason I can think of, is that Frank Tzeng, Kubisi Art, etc. all used to recommend an angle of view of 30 (before universal camera was implemented). Maybe this is simply what Hadi is used to.
