meraviglia!

a capito tutto!!i saw her at carnegie hall in new york in 1981
long time ago!!she was in her early
    30s!!and people were talking
already that her voice was decli
ning, they said she has a poor
    thecnique,good voice though
    but essentially a lyric soprano
    pushed to her limits!!singing
    too much heavy repertoire!!
    not her voice,not her thecnique
was right for the roles she was
giving to sing and she was taking
    without thinking properly about
    her essentially lyric soprano voice
    the rest,everybody knows. sad,very
sad what happened to this lovely
    soprano.

And Karajan pushed her to sing the title role in Turandot, which was a killer for her voice (she was a fantasic Liu).

This part is written for a dramatic with agility, not a lyric looking for trouble.
Ricciarelli had not much above a high C and of course no chestvoice either.

How much opera have you heard in the voice of the beloved Italian diva?

"Ricciarelli had not much above a high C"
I'm confused, doesn't the score of the song not ago above the high C anyway? If so then what's the issue?
