I've seen Riders in the Sky several times live... In the old days we used to call them entertainers. Its a lost art being both able to play songs and entertain, play me Blue Shadows 1 more time please!
Glenn Johnson Love these guys and western music since the fifties when i was growing up.Just wonderful and good to see them on Larry`s country diner.Thankyou.
Anybody else think of Eddie the delivery boy in "To Grandmother's House We Go" when they hear this? I love this movie, it is one of my favorite Christmas movies! The story is happy and heartwarming and Michelle did such a great job playing twins!
Love their excellent playing. It's sure nothing of the actual stuff you hear today out of every available speaker around you but it's sure a well done adaptation of the Cole Porter thing.
Went up to Ranger Doug after Riders in the Sky performed in Greenville, Texas. Stuck out my hand to shake his and tell him what a fan I was. He looked up and walked away. So I became an ex-fan. It’s true what they say, “Maybe best you don’t meet your heroes”.
I have seen them in concerts at Artesia N.M & they are really great musicians & great Human beings!
Riders In The Sky deserve multiple awards, including the Nobel Prize...they are seriously wonderful!!

Very interested in theoretical plasma physics. Where science should have gone as apposed to string theory. Anyways.
