I hear you, but there’s definitely a non-needy way to communicate feelings directly. Also if she feels pressure to answer instantly, that’s her own anxiety messing with her mind. There’s nothing wrong with someone telling you that they like you, and then asking them to give you a week or so to process everything. It’s not that hard to reject people either; it’s so easy to say “I like you as a friend”, so stop blaming guys just because you unnecessarily feel the need to answer a certain way. Also girls can’t read minds; she’ll never truly know unless you tell her.
All I will say is don't play games and date with intent. If you like someone and think there is potential there, tell the person when you feel the time is right.
If telling someone you like them means they're potentially going to lose interest in you then better to find now rather than later.
Nobody like to be rejected or hurt so it actually takes a lot of courage to put yourself out the like that. If some thinks you're 'needy' because of it, they are not your person.

The pedestalization came from the *romantic Era. During this time period poets/artists would obsess, purposely, over women they never intended to have. The women were willing participants. This purposful obsession and writing is what women still, presently, idealized as love. At that time it was only done for the sake of art. There was no intent to ever be intimate and or romantically involved. So, if you want to male sure she will never in her life see you as potential. By all means put her on that pedestal and obsess. Women typically only fall for men when the woman is the one showering admiration. If she is not. You my friend are almost certainly wasting your time.
Ok I watched this, because I think a girl likes me and I like her too. She looks at me and when I catch her doing that she turns her head away. Sometimes she gets close to me in an "innocent" but kinda obvious for me way. And she touches my stuff without my permission in order to make me react. And I jokingly react. The problem is - she is my colleague and trying to develop a relationship at work is a double-edged sword. First I am a person who values his personal space and privacy. So in that order I keep everything to myself. I am not ok for the whole office to know we like each other. And second if things go south it would be kinda awkward for both of us to probably hate each other and being forced to work together. So I don't really know what to do in this situation. Ofc I am not 100% sure she likes me, cuz she is extremely friendly and smiley girl and she acts this way with everyone, but she gives some hints here and there which might be true to what I am thinking.
I sorta might have had a similar situation happen one time, but I made a personal rule for myself that though I might have a crush on a girl I work with, I would not ask her out because I set a boundary for myself that I will never date a co-worker. Maybe some exceptions if whatever job you do has shift rotation or something and you're assigned to one shift, and shes assigned a opposite shift then you that could maybe work out but in General I would never date a co-worker no matter how cute she might be.
