- Reviewing the Huawei Pura 70 Ultra, one of the absolute best camera phones in 2024 with impressive pro photo abilities. This full tour of the Huawei Pura 70 Ultra shows off the EMUI features and hardware ahead of the global release - but are you tempted, at a whopping 1499 Euros?
If your priority is that camera tech, you're going to like this smartphone. A lot. It's up there with the Xiaomi 14 Ultra for natural looking everyday shots, including some tasty HDR photos. But the Huawei Pura 70 Ultra is on another level for action snaps, capturing crisp images even when your subject is booking it.

Huawei is one of the company that is not afraid to change the design of the phone everytime......
Same with other Chinese companies. It seems Apple and Samsung are the lazy ones
Its not about afraid its a bout making profit as much as possible. Apple and Samsung are copying pasting their same boring old design for years by not investing to much in R&D +removing cables and charger.
While Huawei is still giving people a fresh design for each phone they release and + a very highend quality charger with USB-C and Standard USB plugs.
When you don't need to care about US people, people start to grow their intellect and creativity.

The camera is pretty ok for the high-end segment but nothing impressive or industry leading.

Except that Qualcomm offers much superior ISP and overall SoC in all matters, faster RAM and SSD and all kinds of hardware that is better

I really love the fact Huawei always comes with a fresh design. Looking at Apple and Samsung who have been recycling the same design for years, this is really a nice change.

Been an iPhone user after Google banned..I miss the huawei smartphone vibe. The build quality is insanely high quality, very reliable and hardly hear any manufacturing issues or defects ever since the first Huawei Ascend P1.

Honor magic 5 pro and honor magic 6 pro are rebranded Huawei phones and just as good if not better. I have magic 5 pro it's way better than p30 pro. Make sure to go honor next time you won't regret it.

Man something about the front of this phone makes it look like its a generation ahead of all other phones with even-bezels.
It's curved around 4 sides that's why its look way more premium and nice
Looks rather outdated, since getting an S24 Ultra I realized that I love sharp corners and these here are absurdly round. Also that camera hole seems rather large. Add to that the cursed camera bump and surved screen-edges and I have no idea why anyone thinks this is ahead of anything.

Yeah, Huawei ban was about protecting the wealthy. Samsung, Apple, and Google were protecting their shareholder's stock.
It is not an iPhone or a Samsung but it is ok in comparison with other Chinese brands. The only issue is the price

One of the nice things that I love about Huawei products is that, their phone are borderless, thin bezels. Even their laptop have thin bezels..
While Samsung phone entry level and event their midramge phone have seemingly thick bezels. While midrange Huawei phone already have thin bezels..
The camera module is so creative and well designed
Gbox is a lifesaver for Huawei phones. The pura 70 ultra is a very good phone, apart from it's performance, which is similar to the Tensor G3 (which is pretty bad). For people who don't game much, it's still a very solid phone as the processor is more than enough for daily tasks.
" apart from it's performance" the performance is fantastic. it can play Genshin impact at 60fps for hours without overheating and thermal throttling.
meanwhile the A17 pro chip in the iPhone 15 Pro Max is still getting very hot during gaming, causing thermal throttling.

@@ahmadahmal2942I wish, though Antutu, Geekbench and the hardware disagrees. It's prime core is clocked at 2.3Ghz which is nothing compared to it's competitors, while it's 7nm process makes it less efficient.
The GPU is also the same as the Kirin 9000S, which performs much worse than the Dimensity 9300 or 8 Gen 3. This can be clearly shown in the 3Dmark wild life performance test, where it's competitors scored over 3x that of Huawei's (16k Vs 5k)
now emui has the option to activate microg with which you can install android apps more easily and more integrated with the system

Switching from iPhone to Huawei was a delightful decision! The Huawei phone exceeds all expectations, surpassing both Samsung and iPhone in my opinion. I made the switch due to the greed of other companies, who prioritize profit by selling chargers and headphones separately, exploiting customers. In contrast, Huawei values its customers and refrains from such exploitation.

still rocking my Mate 20 RS Porsche Design since 2018 and got a new display over the insurance a couple weeks ago. The phone is from 2018 still has 83 % of the battery runs on 8,0 GB RAM Huawei Kirin 980 and a 3120 x 1440 4k OLED Display and of course its beautiful and still runs all the google apps. BEST PHONE I HAD SO FAR

I am using the Huawei Mate 20 pro today in 2024 and bought it when it came out in 2018. Only had a battery change in 2022 for 25 pounds. Got a wireless charger and watch for free and these work flawlessly even today. Phone has google services installed and was one of the last Huawei devices to have it. I have everything I need and cannot justify spending money on a new phone even now. It works pretty well. Ofc there are minor glitches occasionally, but you would expect for a phone this old but you restart it and everything works fine. There has been no slowing down like apple at all. The screen still looks like new even today. A clean wipe and it still looks like shiny new. The abuse it has had in my office and gym bag has also been extreme. But I never bother. I have lost count of the number of times it has fallen from my pockets on hard flooring and still no scratches. It is unbelievable. An iphone would break in one day with that abuse. No wonder why the Americans are worried about this Chinese company!
As an old Huawei mate 20 owner loved the cameras in its time , without the G love there is now not much to press the button again to another.

You should have got a Honor Magic phone not Samsung and Iphone,partner...I chose Honor Magic 4 Pro from P2 Pro and soooo happy user. Its a 85% full Huawei( even night mode,detail camera and battery are better into Huawei)😜

I had the P20 pro, it had a brilliant camera but the fingerprint button developed a fault where the button was constantly hot. O2 weren't interested in repairing or replacing
100 watts. Meanwhile Samsung is just considering doing 65 watts.

This is one interesting device but what is it with Huawei and the strange games? I used to have a huawei mate 40 pro (without google services), unfortunately I broke it.
Now i have a galaxy s23 ultra and OMG! This phone is nothing compared to my experience with huawei. Sure it has the gms but the overall experience is way worst than i expected.
I'm really thinking about coming back to huawei and this pura 70 ultra seems very interesting.
I really like the phone. The quality and camera are awesome...the system, no problem at all.
The snapshot mode deserves more minutes in the camera review section coz it just does magic. Also for portrait photos it had always been iPhone's specialty but this phone really caught up and in all honestly, is just as good as iPhone, if not better.
Does this have PWM screen reducing flicker rate technology like the Honor 90 5G ?

Huawei is just amazing always exceptional and durable , one of the things I don't lie about them is that they are very expensive. I used the P20 pro for 4years plus

If Huawei still had Google support, I'd still be using it. In fact, my father is still using my old Mate 20. Yes, it's still working fine and still takes good photos.
