On the Shipping topic, shipping the characters aren't rlly a problem as long as it's clean content as in child safe, its the proshippers that are the issue when it comes to shipping such as people shipping toodles(the child) with someone and Pebble(the dog) with someone, other than that, we then got the freaky shippers as you mentioned in the roleplayer issues in the rp servers. Lets also include the toxic side of the shipping community. For example; So lets say you ship Moonberry(astroxsprout) and someone who ships Fruitcake(Cosmoxsprout) goes up to you and starts ranting on you because of what you ship, and start to threaten you because you ship it.
Every fandom has its flaws there will always be some negativity or bad behavior, no matter how hard you try to avoid it. It's an unfortunate reality that toxic individuals exist in every community, and no fandom is immune to this. However, instead of letting it overshadow the positive aspects, we can focus on supporting the good parts of the fandom and fostering a healthier, more inclusive environment.

as a dandys world player, i am genuinely disgusted by our fandom. I played this game in the first few weeks of its release, and it growing could be a good or bad thing. I am a bit of a shipper, but I do not threaten people in any way. I believe that Dandy's World should be a fun game, so I hope this year is better than the last.

4:28 I wanted to share my story of my experience with these freak-offs. So this was my first time being in the rp server in the game. Someone who was Dandy asked someone who was Toodles (A character who is canonically not even double digits in age) to follow them because they had candy. The Dandy then started doing the freaky with the Toodles while me and a Pebble were watching the entire thing. Worst part is that I don’t think they were friends and the Dandy did this disgusting act with a random person who was playing as a child.

ok IDK if you read comments personally but ill lend my two cents personally ALL fandoms have shipping, it isn't a weird thing, and its a very big part of fandom culture, it is only HARMFUL if characters like Toodles or Pebble get shipped, (Toodles is an 8 Year old, and Pebble is literally just a dog.) And a very toxic part of the fandom so I've seen, HAS to be the shipping side. Not for the portions you mentioned, but all the fighting, harassment over not liking certain ships, When I tell you people will get BASHED for not liking a certain ship I mean it It genuinely makes me very embarrassed to LIKE certain popular ships like fruitcake (Sprout X Cosmo) due to how rude people who like it can be. And to explain the Multishipper thing, It is when a person ships more than just one pair, Such as instead of ONLY shipping Dandy X Astro, they might ship Dandy X Sprout or Astro X Shelly at the same time. Some people I've met in the fandom are very sweet, but there's a lot of bad apples at the same time. Such as having a Cosmo in your run and picking up a bandaid could get you hunted and griefed by other players in the same run because they see you as a liability for not lending the healer one singular bandaid. Don't even get me STARTED with all the Proshipping in the community, I've never seen it so prominent in a fandom before (i.e. Scraps and Goob, they are SIBLINGS. or Rodger and Toodles, Parent and Child.) not to mention, you're only looking at the TH-cam side of it. TikTok is WORSE. you see the videos similar to that one you mentioned about Astro from the heat person, except its actually EXPLICIT edits of the Icons or Renders for certain Toons, and TikTok doesn't even take it down after being reported. It isnt even funny how on both TikTok and Twitter, the community opens a person who's harmed many many people, including someone CLOSE TO ME, in such horrible ways, but I guess because the document is gone, and they 'changed' (even if they talk to weirdos on the daily basis STILL.) that means they're just open to stay. I recommend you go over this again sometime, there's a lot more issues that you didn't go over here, Its so much worse than you had seen, so, so much worse.

I am a fan of the game and enjoy it for its gameplay and the nice people in the community, but I must agree, there are definitely weird people there, proshippers, anti-starter, and people acting sexual in runs sometimes, make sure you’re safe and don’t join any weirdos, find good and fun people to play with, there are also a lot of weird role players in RP mode so be careful.
It's even worse when you realize that people outright disrespect starters and treat them like garbage. While not as bad as Da Hood to a certain extent, It is still really noticeable. This is why I usually play solo so I don't put up with the more toxic side of things.

The toxicity may be the same, but in this case, there are thousands of children watching and normalizing it. I'm a multifandom and I'm not talking nonsense, I've seen the level of several fandoms but this one necessarily has children watching this type of content. In the same way that TADC has toxicity with brainrot of the same level being shown to children, the case of this fandom is not even brainrot, it's the content of practically the entire fandom.
The issues with a lot of the “freak offs”(I’ve never heard them called that) is the lack of anti-cheat in the game, those emotes aren’t a thing unless your using a scripting software which they devs have implemented almost no defense against. The exploiters can’t really do anything bad beside become invisible, switch there animations(that’s how they do things like in the pictures shown) , and teleport however it’s still rare to see one and most of them just mess around instead of being weird.
Multishipping or shipping in general isn't bad. As long as it's not incest, pedophilia, Zoophila, or just extremely problematic ships. Qwel confirmed it herself that the only characters she doesn't want shipped are pebble(A dog) and Toodles(A child). She said that most ships aren't problematic
BTW the artist u prob saw was JUNO and EVERYONE in the community does not fw them, also the "pick the roses" thing is a small animation trend were whatever character is it either give them flowers or something close to that, I don't think shipping is a really bad issues for me personally as long as toodles and pebble (the rock dog is pebble and toodles is the little girl with a 8-ball head) doesn't get shipped with anyone and the actual SIBLINGS razzle and dazzle (the comedy masks) and scraps and goob (the paper cat and the fluffy craft box) don't get shipped with each other. a lot of people in the community had issues with those freak offs and with issues during the period when rox was still hired. sadly the only things that speak louder in the community is the controversial part :(

I remember one of my most recent times in the rp section, an Astro was being harassed by a sprout. Ofc I and a few others went over to help. I also remember the first time I introduced my friend to the rp section; someone was hacking as twisted sprout and being freaky. I honestly hate it, because I know for a fact there are young kids there who don't understand the severity of this! I definitely think there needs to be more moderation, at least until people control themselves and act like mature individuals.

For those of you who need an explanation, the concept of shipping in itself is not the problem. It's the scale and extremity of the shipping and its respective community that has people complaining. All of these death threats that you hear about are a select few of the many shippers. Sure, it's concerning that the Discord server can't go 10 minutes without mentioning a ship, but 'most' of the community around it is very tame. At the end of the day, they can usually acknowledge that their ship or headcannon is just a ship or headcannon and is not actually true for the most part. Even if you see something questionable, which you probably have as a Dandy's World fan, there is far worse. As for the extreme side, they are the real concern. If someone tells you that something is canon and you know that it isn't, ignore their remark, especially if you prove them wrong and they still believe it. They are delusional. I do not say this to be harsh, these conditions follow the definition by Oxford Languages, stating delusion as "a false belief or judgement about external reality, held despite incontrovertible evidence to the contrary". Shipping usually holds most of this delusion, which is why it is so hated in the Dandy's World community.
I don't really like dandy's world, I personally think The idea is sort of boring and Plus I've only just started playing and Whenever I'm trying to get some of the ingame Currency, I try to join one of those runs. Someone who was Dandy asked someone who was Toodles (A character who is canonically not even double digits in age) to follow them because they had candy. And a very toxic part of the fandom so I've seen, HAS to be the shipping side. Not for the portions you mentioned, but all the fighting, harassment over not liking certain ships, When I tell you people will get BASHED for not liking a certain ship I mean it
It genuinely makes me very embarrassed to LIKE certain popular ships like fruitcake (Sprout X Cosmo) due to how rude people who like it can be.
And to explain the Multishipper thing, It is when a person ships more than just one pair, Such as instead of ONLY shipping Dandy X Astro, they might ship Dandy X Sprout or Astro X Shelly at the same time.
Some people I've met in the fandom are very sweet, but there's a lot of bad apples at the same time. Such as having a Cosmo in your run and picking up a bandaid could get you hunted and griefed by other players in the same run because they see you as a liability for not lending the healer one singular bandaid.
Don't even get me STARTED with all the Proshipping in the community, I've never seen it so prominent in a fandom before (i.e. Scraps and Goob, they are SIBLINGS. or Rodger and Toodles, Parent and Child.) not to mention, you're only looking at the TH-cam side of it.
TikTok is WORSE. you see the videos similar to that one you mentioned about Astro from the heat person, except its actually EXPLICIT edits of the Icons or Renders for certain Toons, and TikTok doesn't even take it down after being reported.
It isnt even funny how on both TikTok and Twitter, the community opens a person who's harmed many many people, including someone CLOSE TO ME, in such horrible ways, but I guess because the document is gone, and they 'changed' (even if they talk to weirdos on the daily basis STILL.) that means they're just open to stay.

I am a fan of the game and enjoy it for its gameplay and the nice people in the community, but I must agree, there are definitely weird people there, proshippers, anti-starter, and people acting sexual in runs sometimes, make sure you’re safe and don’t join any weirdos, find good and fun people to play with, there are also a lot of weird role players in RP mode so be careful.

The issues with a lot of the “freak offs”(I’ve never heard them called that) is the lack of anti-cheat in the game, those emotes aren’t a thing unless your using a scripting software which they devs have implemented almost no defense against. The exploiters can’t really do anything bad beside become invisible, switch there animations(that’s how they do things like in the pictures shown) , and teleport however it’s still rare to see one and most of them just mess around instead of being weird.
And also the fact that it’s always “blame the player not the game” and this community is the prime example of that

BTW the artist u prob saw was JUNO and EVERYONE in the community does not fw them, also the "pick the roses" thing is a small animation trend were whatever character is it either give them flowers or something close to that, I don't think shipping is a really bad issues for me personally as long as toodles and pebble (the rock dog is pebble and toodles is the little girl with a 8-ball head) doesn't get shipped with anyone and the actual SIBLINGS razzle and dazzle (the comedy masks) and scraps and goob (the paper cat and the fluffy craft box) don't get shipped with each other. a lot of people in the community had issues with those freak offs and with issues during the period when rox was still hired. sadly the only things that speak louder in the community is the controversial part :(

4:36 As someone who frequents the roleplay section of Dandy's World. I can say how weirdy and freaky it gets. I remember one of my most recent times in the rp section, an Astro was being harassed by a sprout. Ofc I and a few others went over to help. I also remember the first time I introduced my friend to the rp section; someone was hacking as twisted sprout and being freaky. I honestly hate it, because I know for a fact there are young kids there who don't understand the severity of this! I definitely think there needs to be more moderation, at least until people control themselves and act like mature individuals.

For those of you who need an explanation, the concept of shipping in itself is not the problem. It's the scale and extremity of the shipping and its respective community that has people complaining. All of these death threats that you hear about are a select few of the many shippers. Sure, it's concerning that the Discord server can't go 10 minutes without mentioning a ship, but 'most' of the community around it is very tame. At the end of the day, they can usually acknowledge that their ship or headcannon is just a ship or headcannon and is not actually true for the most part. Even if you see something questionable, which you probably have as a Dandy's World fan, there is far worse.
As for the extreme side, they are the real concern. If someone tells you that something is canon and you know that it isn't, ignore their remark, especially if you prove them wrong and they still believe it. They are delusional. I do not say this to be harsh, these conditions follow the definition by Oxford Languages, stating delusion as "a false belief or judgement about external reality, held despite incontrovertible evidence to the contrary". Shipping usually holds most of this delusion, which is why it is so hated in the Dandy's World community.

I don't really like dandy's world, I personally think The idea is sort of boring and Plus I've only just started playing and Whenever I'm trying to get some of the ingame Currency, I try to join one of those runs. And I'm not allowed to join, because I'm apparently a mood, I suppose I am though. But how am I supposed to not be one of everyone is pushing me away and not letting me join?
