A 'Tail' from the River Lot! Episode 23

- In this episode, Richard and Maria take on a new challenge at their home in the charming riverside town of Temple-sur-Lot, located in southwest France. The couple, who have now been living in the area for nearly two years, are enjoying yet another beautiful day when they make an unexpected discovery: mice have taken up residence in their pool shed! Determined to handle the situation humanely, they decide to set up a humane trap to safely catch and release the little intruders.
When the first mouse is caught, Richard and Maria add a playful twist to the process by tossing a coin to see who has to be the one to retrieve the mouse from the trap. The tension mounts, and the result brings some light-hearted fun to what could have been an unpleasant task! The winner gets to sit back while the other faces the mouse head-on.
Instead of releasing the mouse nearby, they opt to drive a full five miles to ensure their tiny guest won’t return. They read that mice can find their way back from up to three miles away, so they drive past their own town of Temple-sur-Lot to Castelmoron-sur-Lot, located just across the river. After releasing the mouse into the wild, they take a moment to appreciate the success of their humane mission and reflect as to whether the mouse will find its way back across the river!
Back at home, Richard and Maria decide to relax and review another TH-cam channel they’ve been following-Escape to France - Charente, hosted by fellow expats Rob and Lisa. Another great episode. Well done on taking the 🐭 on a road trip. Although I did think initially you’d be taking it on a mini cruise 😂. Thankfully we have only ever seen one here despite backing onto a field. It was down inside the hole where the water meter is. Gave Andrew a shock when he opened it and it ran out 😂. Keep up the good work 😊
