A gamut of emotions well up listening these endearing couplets, in the melodramatic voice of Khan sahab ...
Garmi-e-hasrat-e-nakaam se jal jaate hain..Hum charaago'n kee tarah, shaam se jal jaate hain..
Shama jis aag mein jalti hai numaaish ke liye...Hum usii aag mein, gumnaam se jal jaate hain...
One can feel the pain and the grief reflected in these melancholic words of the poet and Khan sahab in his charismatic style gives credence to the beauty of the lyrics...It is as if he has poured his heart out in the rendition of these verses of the poet..
