Personally, iKON's RETURN album deserve Album Of The Year as well. The songs in that album is freaking legendary. Hanbin has a gift in creating beautiful melodies and having two of the best rappers in the industry the rap also flows well. Hanbin actually said the beat is 128bpm. It's as fast as most upbeat pop songs.

In the beginning it seemed like they tried to push/make iKON the next BB, but that is unfair imo. This fits them better, it's less forced. Even though they do all kind of sounds. 'Climax' and 'Long Time no See' are still favorites I think. More because of sentimental reasons, since I remember watching both WIN and MIX AND MATCH xD

Just adding something as an afterthought, I don't think it will win SOTY at all the award show, because each show has their own standards and way's to collet data or to include voting or not. But at least one I think. There are many great artists and releases this year, and more too come. I don't like the fanwars or vote wars during award season. I usually just end up looking forward to the performances the most. And hope nobody faints because of the extreme schedules idols have. But I hope the outcome of all awards will be fair and accurate for both impact made in Korea and Global scene or both. Even though it's never possible to satisfy all fans and critics alike.

BIGBANG's MADE album will always be number one for me, but I've been really blown away by iKON's RETURN album- absolutely amazing and deserves SOTY - every single song is so good and so well made. Honestly I don't differentiate between A-side and B-side tracks for this album because I love all the songs a lot. If I absolutely had to choose I'd probably pick Just Go and Don't Forget as my favorite songs in the album. Wish all the other songs outside of Love Scenario can get more attention because they're too good to be slept on.

I don't think they consider all the lyrics as inappropriate but just the "the electric feeling between my ribs" part from what I understood. They probably think it means excitment in the sexual way or something. But B.I (the leader of iKON and the writer and composer of the song) has actually made an instagram post about it and mentioned how he loved watching an anime when he was a kid and he would get an electric feeling just thinking about it back then too. So it's about an innocent feeling of anticipation, happiness. The lyrics of the song and its theme are actually very lovely and healthy. Ending a relationship peacefully and mutually because they both know its time has passed is the best way to have a breakup and many korean adults related to it and considering the lyrics can read like a beautiful poem as well, that makes the song perfect for all ages. Kids know about love so why not learn the healhy way to deal with it since young?

Actually Love Scenario is the most catchy song I ever heard this year. The lyrics are easy to memorize and sing with. Some people can relate but some not especially children. But the slow tempo and the vibes of the song makes everyone wants to learn singing and it's a bop.
Even my 6yr old (5 at the time it came out) who is half Norwegian - half Irish sings along to it in Korean :'D and my 3 year old attempts it... I find it ridiculously cute that it has become a children's 'anthem' :D

BIGBANG's MADE album will always be number one for me, but I've been really blown away by iKON's RETURN album- absolutely amazing and deserves SOTY - every single song is so good and so well made. Honestly I don't differentiate between A-side and B-side tracks for this album because I love all the songs a lot. If I absolutely had to choose I'd probably pick Just Go and Don't Forget as my favorite songs in the album. Wish all the other songs outside of Love Scenario can get more attention because they're too good to be slept on.

I don't understand why those lyrics are inappriopriate? If parents are worried about their kids singing such phrases they should take the initiative to educate them about it. That is super cute how they change the lyrics and play around like that, I think it really helps with creativity.

I guess it must be a cultural thing but I don't really get why the lyric lines mentioned are considered inappropriate? Like is it bad for kids to talk about the fact that relationship end and have sad falling outs? 'cause I just keep thinking that kids would relate to most to this kind of thing as every little crush feels like the biggest romance at their age. I don't think they consider all the lyrics as inappropriate but just the "the electric feeling between my ribs" part from what I understood. They probably think it means excitment in the sexual way or something. But B.I (the leader of iKON and the writer and composer of the song) has actually made an instagram post about it and mentioned how he loved watching an anime when he was a kid and he would get an electric feeling just thinking about it back then too. So it's about an innocent feeling of anticipation, happiness.
The lyrics of the song and its theme are actually very lovely and healthy. Ending a relationship peacefully and mutually because they both know its time has passed is the best way to have a breakup and many korean adults related to it and considering the lyrics can read like a beautiful poem as well, that makes the song perfect for all ages. Kids know about love so why not learn the healhy way to deal with it since young?
I totally agree! That's how I understood it and why I consider it to be more of a falling out in a relationship rather than a 'breakup'. So I feel you. I was just curious about the potential cultural/social/situational/societal connotations unique to South Korea I may be missing which might better inform me as to why anything remotely negative or inappropriate could be interpreted from the song I guess.

Parents and teachers were worried, on the pikonic day last year one parent said that when one kid sing in school they will sing all together all day. It means the song bring a huge impact on kids, as they love the melody and beat of the song. Im in my 30’s but i love listening to it as well. Congrats to Ikon for love scenario as song of the year!

Actually Love Scenario is the most catchy song I ever heard this year. The lyrics are easy to memorize and sing with. Some people can relate but some not especially children. But the slow tempo and the vibes of the song makes everyone wants to learn singing and it's a bop.
