I think there is some misunderstanding on how the dual switch configuration works. It doesn't work with any 2 switches, but only with 2 SPDT switches. And that works with almost all Zigbee relays and also with the older ZB Mini. I'm quite sure R2 stands for Revision 2, and not for Relay with 2 switches
Warning! Detached mode does not work on Home Assistant... You will not have access to actions to create automations. Instead, turn to the Aqara T2 model which does work
I noticed that the detached mode option wasn’t shown in the video. Does it actually work? I’m looking to bind the switch directly to my Aqara T1M light to control on/off functions even if Home Assistant is down. Is this possible with the device? Thanks for the quick and good video!
@@simonsayshomeassistant I am interested as well. I wasn't able to bind it directly to T1M, so I guess it's not implemented correctly following zigbee 3.0 protocols? Please correct me, if I'm (hopefully) wrong.
best part, its now Mattter ready.
Oh wow, that's great to hear!

Yes, that is correct it only has 1 relay and yes it works for SPDT switches

I will do a follow up video about detach mode and zigbee to mqtt
@@simonsayshomeassistant Great, I'm looking forward to it 😍 Thanks

@@andraz007 I will try this out and make a video, this certainly sounds like a great use case!
Is the relay's reaction immediate when the external switch is operated? Thx !
Yes it is immediate!
Is dual switching for two separate light switches in a single light socket, or is it for one two-way switch?
This can be used for a two switch setup like 2 switches at each end of a passage controlling 1 light
What about detach mode in Home Assistant? Is it there? And is it supported as Zigbee2mqtt device or it's not needed?
I will do a follow up video about detach mode and zigbee to mqtt
I don’t see detach relay option on zha in your video.
What about z2m?
Thank you for the feedback, I will see if I can test these things out
I thought this had been out for ages?
This is a new version that has just been released 19th September
Does the relay make noise?
Just a tiny click, I don't here it once installed in the wall
@@simonsayshomeassistant Nice, thank you for feedback!
