I love how its foiled out asf, but I heavily disagree on the tripplets, tripple mof can be very dead if you dont have actual advantage creating spells to recycle, as well as tripple pwwb without night assailant to use them for free screams losing advantage. I agree alot with no mst or card d since its just plain bad in mirrors as well as people tend to play many chainable cards atm. no kycoo seems very very very sketchy imo, one of the best cards to pick apart chaos decks especially when you run so much books solemns and pwwbs to protect it. I love goat format because there is just sooo much nuance and detail to the same deck!
I like you're constructive criticism, allow me to elaborate. First of all, a couple of high ranked players right now are also running my choices in 3s, that alone should be a good reason to simply "net deck" it. However, I dont like to blindly copy someone's deck, without having a clear understanding why certain choices were made. So I went and reflected on it myself . Why did they run most of the cards in 3s..? I agree that playing cards in 3s can be problematic at times, but I came to the conclusion that it has more up sides than it has down sides. - Running cards in 3s creates a certain kind of consistency. It helps you memorizing the remaining cards in your deck easier and faster, when you've been piloting it for a short period time. - If it get NoC'd, chances are bigger you're holding a dupe in your hand, which won't get removed and can be used the remainder of the duel. - If it gets NoC'd and all copies disappear, they've effectively thinned out your deck by 2. Unfortunate, but it will also help you draw into your power cards faster, now that your 2 cards lighter, sort a speak. - If you're really bricking, you'll find yourself less concerned, and more willing to use one of them as a cost for let's say PWWB. Also the fear of a Delinquent Duo should subside. Nobody likes to discard a MoF, but when you're holding 2, or even 3 in hand, you're going to have to do something. Kycoo is a personal choice in my opinion. I absolutely agree it is very good (especially against chaos variants) and I used to have 2 in the main deck. That being said, I am playing chaos myself, and its the single biggest threat to my deck, getting my Kycoo stolen and used against me is a big no go. If they're also using Kycoos I'll have to be prepared to counter 3-5 of them in total. And that's without them running revival cards. Because of the above, I decided to drop them, but I might be putting them in the side deck in the future. I hope this helped you. =)
PWWB will not destroy the target, so you won't be fueling the opponents graveyard for them to use their chaos monsters. Since warriors are the biggest threat to this deck, PWWB seemed better since they're playing 1 threatening monster at a time, none of which are placed facedown, so I will always have knowledge of what I'm bouncing, while keeping them from using their revival cards/chaos monsters. The only thing you'll want to permanently destroy is Snatch Steal, in this case Raigeki Break would be better, but I have triple Book to deal with this. Also, by bouncing, you're ruining their chances of topdecking game changing cards. I'd rather deal with a monster I've seen, than a Pot of Greed for instance. Both PWWB and Raigeki Break have their pros and cons, whichever you choose is up to you. =) For now I like the PWWB better, especially since it's in gold rare, which fits the deck better.
@@jesanders1989 Well the gold rare part speaks for itself, but thanks for the game knowledge x) Maybe I should start using some decks that profit from pwwb
A single Trap Dustshoot seemed worse than a Torrential Tribute. I'm probably going to cut a mst and torr for 2 TD. ^^ Also first time doing a deck profile with minimum preparation, and in English what's not so easy for me. 🤣
@@jesanders1989 it was a very good deck profile, modern and powerful. Pretty far away from the original goat that I remember in 2005. But the beauty of this format is that there are a lot of strategies and good cards available. That causes changes. It was funny the part of torrential tribute!!
@@zoroutdoor9 thanks, I appreciate that a lot! I feel the same way, there was too little time to fully dissect a complete banlist. They're still coming up with new innovating ideas to beat the meta. The Torrential Tribute part was funny, as well as me forgetting to mention why I run 3 Skilled Darks, which are mainly there for Kycoo. Had to contact Jinzo&Tonic after the vid to get that part also in the video. Im sure my future deck profiles will be less inherent. XD
@@JinzoTonic 3 MoF is far too slow for what is supposed to be a turbo deck, and with all the duplicate spells you'd on average only really want to use faith for a select few cards which you aren't guaranteed to draw into (especially if the deck is truly turbo); and further, upstart+solemn is a great way to let burn decks absolutely slaughter you with a good hand. Moreover skill drain would completely brick this deck until it draws into heavy or pwwb. I personally think the luster (pun intended) of BLS blinds people from making truly phenomenal decks, and as a result the average deck is extremely linear and struggles against nonlinear changes in the board state; I can't remember a time I lost to a chaos deck since the yata lock was banned, yet the collective atavism of people keeps them clinging to their beloved chaos monsters. I'd also argue it's best to almost never run triples in goat format (some decks it's fine), as it's just asking to brick your deck from time to time unnecessarily.
@@accountname1047 Well tripplets are a strange thing in goat I agree on that part, but as long as warrior is one of the most faced decks in current goat format meta, I think tripple spy and (only for my flip control) 3 Tsuk are rly fine. I also think its self explanatory if u run 3 judgment. Other than 3 dekoichi and 3 thunder Dragon i dont see any need of 3 offs. There is a Cat Burn stratagy and there is HAm which also requires a lot of 3 offs though. And keep in mind that there was a time with 3 off Goat and Metamorphosis. So although Goat does not rly need 3 offs there are still some around at all time.
@@accountname1047 thanks for the comment. Every deck has its problems and up sides. When I'm facing Burn or Skill Drain decks of the sort, I think having a good side against it should be sufficient. When you're building your deck prepared for all decks, you'll lose sight of its true purpose and its effectiveness. 3 Decree should make quick work of both Burn and Skill Drain. Solemn Judgment is not a card you'd want to slap in someone's face when you're seeing some red flags such as LL-AB or a Koala. The later on you get in the game, the more effective the Solemns get. I have been thinking about siding them, but apart from burn I found myself siding them in vs every other lethal deck. (RGT to stop their Trunades, Warrior to stop their Solemns, and in some cases Metamorphosis when facing CC or GC.) But I also see what your perspective is. Activating a Solemn vs those decks is helping them do 50% of their job. Every deck has it's weaknesses and strengths. Proper side decking is very important, if not, more important than the main deck building. If you have suggestions in what to delete and what to add, I'd be happy to hear it. Hope this helped.
