Michael Rubin sent out invitations to this party months ago in the form of bespoke canvases to each invited person. That's the canvas that Kendrick has turned towards the wall in the video. Kendrick imitates Drake's dance with the little girl on tik tok in the split screen of when he's doing pushups. They filmed this video after the pop out so not months ago. All people who would attend the party had already RSVP'd. The blue and red flag tied together to symbolize the unity of the gangs plus the white shirts, red white and blue for the fourth. Whitney wore a wife beater to troll Drake for calling Kendrick a wife beater....shall I continue? "Rabbit hole is still deep I can go further I promise"
Kendrick has not ONLY helped the economy of LA but, let's not forget that he has also helped the business establishment of a Chinese restaurant in Toronto, Canada as well.

This is a node to Kendrick's artistry. The audience went deep just like he did in the thought process of writing the song and directing the video.
Andrew the one saying the metaphors were too obvious and then suggests a child falling out of the owl as a better idea…. I wonder what the triple entendre would be behind that
Shultz is right the vast majority of the entire video was soo many metaphors that would be tough for a non black conscious type to get, Kendrick is super intentional and cerebral, every element of that video had meaning, from the containers, Tommy the clown, the apparel, every single scene, had meaning the few literal parts was for the common persons fun, he's clever 😅
Is Claire Charlemagne and Andrew can't comprehend the representation of imagery in the video. 😅 nothing in that scene said he was in jail. What that scene did show was him locking himself away in creativity with his masterpiece turned around facing the wall so no one can see it. Kendrick creates a lot of subliminal and metaphoric images to where you say somebody's over exaggerating but most of the time it's exactly what he means on down to Whitney wearing a wife beater. And if that symbolism wasn't purposely put in their Drake wouldn't be trying to sell wife beaters on OVO clothing line. He literally showed you throughout the video everything is perspective even from you thinking that the owl is free when he's looking at it, but in actuality, it's in a cage. Him doing the hand signs like the little girl from the video while saying that line all of it are symbolism that people need to pay attention to everything in his video is intentional as is the song

You have to think about it, if Kendrick would have done anymore to his "They Not Like Us" video it would have probably ended Drakes Career. Could you imagine if the part were Kendrick said "MINORR" he would have actually put a little girl 3-5yrs playing the piano and playing the actual minor key. Diabolical!
Ugh They sound more and more out of touch each episode 🙄 I feel sorry for the young lady that works with them. Glad they had no say in the music video 🤣
Think to understand the visuals. It’s soo frustrating that there are weirdos up here who are literally saying they want to see MORE pdf references in the visuals of Kendrick’s video. No! No just stop and really listen to yourselves. If he had done any more than what we were given then people would be making video essays questioning whether Kendrick has sick thoughts himself. You big dummies don’t realize how easily things can be turned around. 🤦🏾♀️
It’s funny how they are too simple minded to analyze it and complain because they missed the symbolism. The biggest thing for me was the reclamation of the Compton courthouse. The fact that they are celebrating unity in front of it. There’s a lot going on
But Charlamane, everyone knows that when it comes to videography, EVERYTHING is intentional. Everything in the frame is on purpose. Just like your set. Is it just random? No. Every piece you have in the frame is meant that way. And when it comes to Kendrick, have you not seen his other videos? That’s how he produces things.

Drizzy Dreidel is diabolical!😂😂😂
Shocker, Shultz has another $hit take.
We talking about the very same kenfrick who did 6;16 in LA rapping as drake for tje first half of the songg, lol yall are disappointing
They said the shipping was symbolic of Black culture being exported by other countries
Drake definitely looks stressed tf out
Yall really gotta stop asking Andrew about hip hop topics cause buddy is really outta touch… also the video ain’t for you “Personally” 😂
The video wasn’t metaphorical enough?? Bro lmao
Andrew back to glazin 😔
Schultz, you’ve outgrown this set and the people occupying it.
Is it me or is Charlemagne getting his color back again.😂
It's you! Maybe get your eyes checked.. your uncle Charlatan is like a leopard, spots never change..
Schultz sees himself in Drake. That's why he talks like Drake is inside of him.
😂😂
Damn this take was a let down 😂 cthagod loves strategy but the video went completely over his head.
Ugh They sound more and more out of touch each episode 🙄 I feel sorry for the young lady that works with them. Glad they had no say in the music video 🤣
Schultz the video isnt for you
His timing of the Hopscotch was fire and video-tastic.
There’s a lot going on
Goes to prove Shultz is Not Like US and CTG loves to play oblivious to the obvious
Andrew think from his back
😂 ikr #johnnyx100
WE meaning US, don’t need YOUR opinion Andrew on OUR culture.
Andrew outstayed his welcome when it comes to hip hop discussions
Don't y'all get tired of the barrage of thumbs downs that are fucking up your algo.
The Hate for drake is the No.1 Topic for everyone.
Hectic
Ayy BBL Schulz
Ab-Soul was trying to bait Drake into getting another butt kicking by Kendrick
Drake has the look of “I don’t know who to trust, I wonder who’s laughing at me” type of tired.
Grazie mille per il video! 🇮🇹
Y’ll totally misrepresenting what absoul meant in his tweet I think he was just responding to people saying Drake‘s career was over and he saying he’ll be OK if he leans his
‘Man I want Kendrick to be more subtle’ -Andrew
‘Here are subtle things he did like the wife beater’ -Taylor
‘NAH, Y’All JUST PROJECTING’ -Andrew and Charla
Loved the video ❤️
These guys say he’s to direct and then dismiss all the stuff that isn’t direct as “reaching”. Make up your minds.
I like how they’re acting like they don’t know what the shipping containers mean… 🙄 theyre all part of it!
That video had so many views in one day, saying what should have been in it is like someone giving you a million dollars, and asking for it in 2 dollar bills. Just appreciate the art. There's so much to analyze in the video, saying what should have been there is a lazy review.
Y’all don’t get the shipping containers with the AC units in it? Come on I rock with y’all. Why y’all down playing the shit?
