Fantastic ..you also checked the original !!! I really was so happy with Tommy’s tribute to Angra and Matos last week .. finally a power metal cover 😀🔥 .. and what a cover 😱.
I have seen some comments ( not only on this video) on Tommy’s guitar not being plugged in in his videos and that is usually the case when Tommy record audio and video separately ( I imaging it would feel fake to pretend to have it “live” when the process is not that)
.. when he does the recording of audio and video at the same time he is usually at his desk
.. however I can understand the thought when you only see Tommy’s covers .. we who follow him and his work in Sabaton, Majestica/reinxeed and golden resurrection have seen him play live and we know what he is capable of
.. for anyone interested I thought I included a grainy recording from a live gig with golden resurrection from around 10 years ago ( Tommy was 25 ish) Golden resurrection is/was a neoclassical Christian power metal band .. Tommy is not lead singer but does some of the vocals and shred the guitar .. the lead vocalist is now in Narnia. This was when Tommy also had Reinxeed, did Swedish hits goes metal and had a full time job at the record company working as a studio engineer
.. some time after this he burned out, gave up on music for some time ( cancelled booked gigs in the US and a European tour with reinxeed).. even considered to sell all his guitars .. he moved back to Boden and started working at a community center .. after a year the center was discontinued and Sabaton called and asked if he would consider joining .. the rest is history 😉
