Even though he pronounces "Ho-u-s" or "Ouf" instead of "Haus" and "Auf" and makes mistakes ( wrong lyrics ). And the action should take place in the 16th century.
The tenor is Deon van der Walt. He was from South Africa. He died tragically at home at the age of 47 (if I'm not mistaken). He seems to have been shot by his own father.

Sad memories.
He was shot in the chest twice by his father who then killed himself. Seems to have been a dispute over the family farm.
