It's not a remix, this was a double A side 12" the Hurley house mix was the AA side, but if you listen to the rap, it fits this version, in the house mix the rap is speeded up & you can blatantly hear it, this is the better version.
@SFintheHouse You are correct! garage is house music that was coming from New York which base is soul and disco or soul house like they call it today. Chicago is chicago house, a form of electro and synth. I got confused when I moved back to America and house, real new york house, which I would hear in straight clubs all over europe was now only play in gay clubs. Speed, trance was what I was refering to, that type of mix of soulhouse and trance, the queens seems to love just is too fast, loud!
At first listen this doesn't work very well for me, but as it goes on I can imagine it's quite nice if you're just lounging around chatting over a few drinks.
Well actually the one you like is the house version they play in the dance/gay club and this is the version they play at the straight club for the soul lovers. Or one version was made for the dancing divas and the rest for the rnb soul lovers!! lol!! No way it is better than the soul mix, I heard it before it is too fast, and really it does not make justice to the song, but you like house and me and those who appreciate this version love soul music, so we can't really argue here.
@Funkycraze You're a little off base with those definitions there. What you are referring to as "garage" was simply New York's version of house music (at the time, "house" specifically referred to what was coming from Chicago while "garage" referred to what was coming out of New York). The "garage" that came from England in the 90s/2000s is something totally different. And trust, all of the house classics got PLENTY of spin time in straight clubs.
In case you don't know there is garage and house. They are similar sounds in rythm but house is what they play in gay club and gay men vogue and there is garage music which is a bit similar and comes from England and is danceable rnb. The version I refer to was in no way garage which was popular in the black clubs but house music. If you love house music, mostly the fast one, man you better check yself!!
@GreggJulian I never said I hated house and I am straight! I just hate the type they play in gay clubs that sound more like speed house than anything else, In america people produce house for the gays, when in europe it is for everybody who enjoy to shake their body to the sound of good music. What can I say, we suck big time!! lol
@ekhornbeck127 you definitely need to take some type of pills....YOU HAVE ISSUES!! lol!! I rest my case or repressed anger probably!! I am not gay but I am cool with gay ppl if you want to know!!
