Lay fast asleep - safe and sound.
It was waiting for the warmth of the sun upon the ground (2)

Fell the rays of the sun gently on the ground
Pitter-patter, pitter-patter rain fell softly down
The seed that waited so long in the ground
Popped right out - and took a look around.
The tiny, little plant saw the sky blue
It saw many others - fresh, green and new
It started growing tall - reaching to the sky
A plant with flowers, that grew by and by.
Soon that little plant grew into a tree,
With many branches wide and lots of green leaves,
It’s now the home to birds and bees,
Standing tall and strong - swaying in the breeze!
