I attended Osupa Baptist primary school, left for Baptist High school Ogbomoso in 1982 before going to the University of Ife. lived in Papa Alajiki, my father's house before I left for Lagos and out of the country. Still visit Ogbomoso every year.

Once we can't look inward & outgrow foreign ideology, this is the result. Our ancestors consult IFA to choose the Egungun festival, not individual. Please let's revert back to our heritage.
Thanks. It won't work. Our cultural rites dates, and time are chosen by IFA since the beginning of day and not by individual or economic reasons. Egungun is a spiritual festival. Abrahamic BS coined it to be occasion. If we don't unlearn and relearn our heritage we will be MFM (mumu follow .mumu)
From my own perspective, Kabiyesi did not say that all the various Egungun houses should not come out to celebrate at their various time that they use to come out. But they will all still need to come out together to celebrate at a particular time frame to showcase our Culture & Heritage and for tourism & Economic purposes. I stand to be corrected, please

I think there trying to have cultural festival week, for tourism. The economic impact is supreme.
