Ustad Raees Khan is a one of the best violininst in Pakistan . He is playing violin for many years in Pakistan and all over the globe. it is Pakistani traditional instrumental music. Chakwal is a city where people love classical and carnatic music.
this recording was made on the celebration of Holy Urs Mubarak of Syad Ghulam Shabir Shah in Chakwal city, Punjab Pakistan. The event was organised by Ch. Mohsin Hassan Khan & Syed Asad Ali Shah and made publishing on DAAC.

Ustad Raeez Khan is very talented. No doubt about that. You cannot give a title of "greatest" without comparing with others who may be equally/ more gifted. Why dont you listen to Ambi Subramaniam's violin recitals on TH-cam? He is my personal favourite. Likewise, the world has many fantastic violinists.

Whenever it was played on Vividh Bharati (All India Radio), I became homesick thinking that my mother was singing this song back home wanting to fly to meet me in the school. Raees Khan sahib, your rendition of this song is melodious perfection on all counts - slow tempo building up to fast, then Pause, then again fast etc and all while playing the complicated and lively background music also all by yourself.
