One of the best series ever made. The actors were well cast, fantastic writers, fantastic settings, I loved all the actors especially Maggie Smith. Mr Selfridge, Kane and Abel, Rich Man Poor Man . I hope there is more fantastic series made. A million percent better than anything made in Hollywood.
Too bad the audio person for this interview didn't know where the "Turn Up the Volume" knob was! There is a gain level control that can be turned up! Way to low! Don't quit the day job. Other than that, great interview!
I discovered that series rather recently, and I was reminded on gosford park. searching for details I realized the creator and writer of both is the same person. it was so recognizable, although I enjoyd gosford park much more (only some charakters are more sympathetic in the tv series than in gosford park). my favorit was lady edith
It's as if Upstairs, Downstairs never existed. The "controversial" storylines cited here were all used back in the early 70s on UpDown - virtually every one.
I'll have to watch it again. It's a bit before my time but I think I tried to watch it before. I'll be looking for the Mr Pamook death equivalent and Thomas gay character equivalent, especially when Thomas tried to commit suicide.
We LOVE Downton Abbey in the USA ❣️ We miss it ❣️ So EXCITED about the Movie Coming September 2019❣️ Upstate NY here 💞

Lady isobel is my favorite character.

I watched an interview from lady from the van it's funny when Dame/Maggie shouted LIAR
It works because of the cast chemistry the storyline is same as usual as you would get in a Austin novel.
not austin at all. but it could be a different kind of tv saga
LOVE!
Love ❤️
Mathew’s mom kinda looks like she’s related to Paul McCarney
Whilst I thoroughly enjoyed this interview, I admit I never heard the word 'waspish'. so often... ;-)

How was in charge of sound? Bloody crap job!
Isobel Crawley was the least character I liked. The actress herself was so intense in her dialogue delivery that makes her face so creepy.
I liked her a lot because of this. :)
@@lisafreund1110 yes as I binged it again for possibly the 5th time, she quickly became one of my favorites.
