K-pop girl group IVE stopped in Berlin for the first time for an exclusive solo concert as part of their “Show What I Have” tour. The anticipation and enthusiasm among the fans was palpable even before the event and would only increase over the course of the evening. The close interaction between the group members and their fans was particularly impressive.
The artists repeatedly took the time to read posters and respond to the shouts and reactions of the audience. As a special promise, IVE even announced that they would soon return to Germany - to thunderous applause and the fans' oath to be there again then. The atmosphere in the hall was exuberant and rousing from the first minute. There was no stopping the group's celebrated title tracks in particular. The fans sang along loudly, celebrated every song and cheered on their idols. This euphoria also seemed to infect IVE and drive them to even more passionate performances.
A highlight of the evening were the members' special cover performances. Gaeul wowed the audience with a solo performance of Ariana Grande's hit "7 Rings", while Rei shone with her version of NIKI's "Every Summertime". Together, the two also caused a sensation with an interpretation of the Spice Girls and their classic "Wannabe". Liz and Wonyoung provided the emotional counterpoint with "Reality" by Richard Sanderson. Leeseo and Yujin rounded off the cover songs with a powerful performance of Little Mix's "Woman Like Me".
