Update! Six Moon Designs confirmed that their stake set has since been upgraded to a Y-style stake. They sent me the new set, and I posted a picture of them on the facebook page (bit.ly/2zgKXxk). I will soon do a garden hose test of the waterproofing and will update this post with my results.

Have you tried using your trekking poles in the nonextended setting (put them together but don't extend them to lock). I have fixed Black Diamond poles too. 130 cm extended but 45 inches put together but not extended.

Hi! Thanks for the review, love your channel! I've seriously been considering this tent, primarily for use in the
Smokies, which receives a lot of storms like this and generally has a humid climate. Have you ever experienced any "splashback" during heavy rain, coming in through the mesh near the bottom? Is it difficult to get
a good pitch so that the bathtub floor comes up high enough? Does it feel warm enough in cooler temps? (just wondering because of all the mesh and it looks like the fly comes up pretty high off the ground). Thanks so much...having a hard time deciding on my next tent, but I really like that SMD uses a sil-poly material, so I'm leaning heavily towards this.

How does it handle wind? As far as bending/bowwing?

      Does surprisingly well with wind!

Thanks for the review. Do you think a 25” x 78” inflatable pad would fit? The pointy head end makes me wonder. Kinda reminds me of the old Eureka Spitfire.

I haven’t measured to make sure, but I think it would fit. You would just have to keep the pad centered. I typically have my pad slightly offset to one side, but I doubt you could do that with a 78” pad.

Great video! Did you have any condensation issues?

Condensation is minimal in this shelter.

just over a month ago last month I purchased a my first truck pull 10th and you literally have to put the truck pull in the back which there's no second door then in the front you put the truck pull right in the middle where the zipper is and you have to put there's about eleven different straps.they didn't give enough tent stakes for all lanterns and connections that had the straps on it and they already had paracord orange paracord for everywhere and there's about 11 from what I'm counting right now while I'm off of memory. And the same the tent stakes I had one that snapped and severedcompletely off and all that was left as what the hole that was attached to the rope the rest of it still under the ground and I had two others that were bent and all the others look like a media usage on it and it was just one set up and I'm fortunately didn't even get to sleep in it that one time that I put it in the backyard and what I did find is it that a few times I got in and out of the tent preparing to crash in the backyard because of the CCP virus known as Chinese Communist Party virus! is it was hard to get in to this particular one is a different routes it's River lakes something or something I got it off of AmazonI found getting in and out of it was extremely hard the fact that that pole stick the truck pull in front obstructed impeded me I am six 1 and I have injuries at every joint of all the body. I am nearly 52 years of age so you can imagine it was like playing Gumbytrying to get into this thing I also chose to use a tarp that was the size of the tent so I used it as the floor covering. I like the style here because there's no truck pulls blocking the entrance you have exits on both ways and the truck pulls are on the inside so they're not getting dirty wet muddy or could be stolen if someone were to walk by on the outside.these are stuck in a pocket on the side and give the support up that's what I see with the truck pulls the ventilation oh that's that's enormous

I like it but the price is absolutely ridiculous not seam sealed? No foot print ok I guess but for that price you can do way better
